We're 5th in the league and still very much in contention for the CL spots, we're making reasonable if not outstanding progress in the CL and we've still got the FA Cup to come.

His first NLD is on Sunday and we have every reason to hope for the win.

I was going to give you a like emoji for your first paragraph but a haha for the 2nd. I have given up hoping for a win at that ground and just hope we are still in it in the closing stages with no red cards or injuries.

Obtuse, no, I give reasons why it's clearly not going to work, and despite your "stats stats stats" crap, stats tell the story of what happens on a football pitch, and ours makes for grim fucking reading. We also had a full first XI out for a large chunk of the season, a full defence missing nearly all of it. Yes tactics were shit, the manager had to go,but no one is winning games with Davies and Gray as CB's.

The only reason we're not in the same situation as last year right now, is sheer blind luck. We're by a country mile the biggest overachievers in the league at both ends of the pitch, way ahead. We're 18th in shots. We play one way, which is abysmal.

Oh, I get football. Most of this forum must be in denial, because it's frighteningly obvious this isn't working. Home fans aren't going to put up with paying the highest ticket prices, worst football and no results. Aside from our performances being unsustainable, which I said would happen, the fans will make it more so.

Are you going to be so chest out of we get embarrassed like we did against Chelsea at the weekend, or are your expectations so low now, that you don't mind taking a beating? If so, that's just sad.

For all the abuse I get, I've been saying the same thing for weeks, while you call me whatever you want, but I haven't been wrong, it's all coming to pass, because 1. I have eyes and 2. The stats say that we couldn't keep going like we were. We also had a very easy opening run, and, as soon as it got hard, wheels have come off, like I said would happen.

Instead of telling me how I don't understand, even though I've not been proven wrong on anything, why don't you explain to me how I'm wrong and know nothing? This will be a hilarious exercise. Why, with metrics backing my opinion up, is it any more outlandish than a manager being out of his element, than overnight we suddenly improve and start playing in a completely different manner? It's been long enough now that we know what he's about. He spent the guts of £200m and got two first team loan players in, that he wanted. And this is the absolute worst version of Spurs I've seen, probably ever.

The way some of you go on about a manager is so strange. You can rip on the board, players, fans, but anything gets mentioned about a coach and people lose their fucking minds. It's like a weird cult. They just pick the team and the tactics. They're not the whole club you melon.

There is no problem with everyone criticizing the manager and his tactics but if they are fans that are really saying Frank out, They either love trolling and drama or they know absolutely nothing about professional sport.
 
Perfectly valid to be discussing the managers position at any stage of his tenure. If anyone doesn’t want to do so, they aren’t being forced into this thread at gunpoint.

We had similar threads for previous managers and will for future ones too.

Frank should get the season, but he needs to show signs of improving both results and performances to not be out the door at season’s end.

Basically we're shit, backed by metrics. Stats suggested we were going to crash and burn, which is what's happening. Being by far and away league leaders in XGA and XG wouldn't last forever.

The arguments for keeping Frank aren't based on any logic other than "he needs 60 windows". Often point to other managers initially struggling and turning it around, ignoring that there's a clear way of playing there, a bit of hope and results were unlucky. Besides, cherry picking managers is beyond stupid. Very few who start badly turn it around to go on and be leaders in their fields. Nothing has indicated that Frank would be.

Basically, the weirdo Frank cultists who think criticism of him is sacrilegious, insult everyone etc have no argument, apart from "NuAnCe".

I'm the obtuse one apparently, for calling it like it is.

But whatever, based on what we've seen so far, he'll be gone before too long.

This is what I've said before. The people that go and insult everyone for criticising the manager are the same that feel emboldened to hurl abuse at:
Players
The board
Past managers
Fans

But this current manager, any questions and it's over the line. Honestly, weird is the correct term. If there were any signs this was going okay, there wouldn't be questions this early, but this unsustainable house of cards, which is giving us all eye sores when watching, is going to go one way. Replacing another manager is shit, but with how this is going, how it's went, it's not getting better I fear. A drubbing this weekend and it'll be the beginning of the end.
