Reading that fans are against Frank’s appointment because he lacks European experience…. Ange hardly pulled up trees at Celtic while playing in Europe.
They were bet like dogs across all three competitions due to his one tactic approach.
We actually atr in relegation form thanks to Ange where losing is a habit. A pragmatic approach is what we need now to steady the ship.
By sacking Ange we have at least plugged the leak.
Hardly pulled up trees is being extremely kind IMO.
Celtic got battered out of Europe every season he was there. They have done far better before and after him.

Rumours doing the rounds on X suggest he’s been approached and has turned us down. Apparently, we’re now looking into Marco Silva.

I actually like Frank as a guy. He seems normal and nice.

I wonder if he’s got that arrogance to look at the player reactions and fans on the internet and still back himself to come?

If he does, obviously most Spurs fans will give him a chance but I wonder if he’s a bit too smart and pragmatic to walk into this hornets nest right now.

"I may be in one of the best football jobs in the world. "I mean that because the work environment is so good, the owner is so good, it's such a good environment. Everything is top"
Do you want to try something different in the future? That's the thing. Maybe, but it's not like I need to try something bigger or better. Because what is better? I'm definitely very ambitious and I think I can achieve everything I want to with Brentford."

Nothing would surprise me with this club.

If it becomes Silva then I might step up my interest in Geoduck fishing and stick my head in very wet sand

And through it allllll you can keep your Pochettino, Postecoglou & Mourinho and even Christian Gross, cos everywhere we gooooo lalalalala I’m loving small Frank instead

The whole segment is great...on the review of the previous game and how they prepare for next game

But the clip of 17:30 to 21:30 - Must watch !

Nothing not to like there. I wouldn’t be surprised if the same feeling was felt after watching similar videos of others though. I worry Frank is another Moyes at Everton, been there so long, is part of the club, things just seem to work. Could be a car crash coming to us. Same can be said of anyone.

LOL, Moyes plays one way & one way only.

I mean, how in the world you got that comparison -let me guess....its because of the club he belongs to ?

Let me tell you why he is not Moyes - because Moyes Everton was always hanging around in relegation scrap. One season they may not, next season they will fall into the fight. With Brentford, even in the season, Toney was banned , when 11 of their players requiring surgery, with no academy to rely on, Frank barely had a scrap in relegation zone.

Just because of the club, stop thinking manager isnt good enough. If anything, its because of him & him alone, Brentford finish where they finish

I'm guessing you're the first Frank-ophile that's joined this forum?

Cult of Frank follower.

Am I doing it right?

:sonpoint:

On the final whistle of the EL I cried like a baby, uncontrollably and posted endlessly, euphorically.

Yes, I'm absolutely elated right now, but no tears of joy.

Just wonderous relief that I don't have to bear the absolute poverty football that that spiteful, gaslighting bastard served up.

Thinks he can come to my club and mug me off as a fan?

Don't fucking think so.

Ange wasn't breaking any mould, brah. The only thing he was breaking was my fucking will to live.

He should be forever grateful to the players for being able to overcome his shit 'tactics' to bring the silverware home.

Irt your last point:

*Interviewer: "I think the thing people talk about often with Brentford is Data...

"Frank: "...yes data is important, but culture beats EVERYTHING."

Here he is talking about it (video time-stamped.. just click).

Strongly advise you watch it all, tho.

And the other clips in this thread.

If his biggest thing is culture, that can take years to build, especially in a club like ours. He has been in Brentford 9 years building that, and bringing a set of players up from the championship will automatically be different to the big time players signed. The closest thing I’ve seen to a decent culture is in the Poch years. The charity work, the togetherness, the scuffles on the pitch. That’s probably the first and long time since that I have felt and seen that

Frank has won something. Infact, he has won something very very big.

His team did qualify for playoff , scoring the most number of goals in league
Then he did take his team through a semi final tie playoff and won the all important final

There is no bigger game than the championship playoffs - its the biggest game of Brentford. Its biggest game of all the 4 clubs that entered it. They go for the blood, no easy way out and winner takes all.

He failed in his first attempt and won in his 2nd attempt

What more are you expecting ? That win game Brentford their place in PL and he has elevated them again by not even being in conversation for relegation. All for a team with no academy and paying 2nd least wages.
If he was that good then why not fuck the play offs , off and win the league instead , even second would have done it

No, I didn’t make the comparison with the style of football, type of person, or his philosophy. More about a guy being at a club a very long time, having done little before, getting a club promoted and successfully keeping them up on little money punching above their weight. Sometimes it just clicks for a manager at a certain club, and that can’t be replicated elsewhere. Everton weren’t always in a scrap, that’s why he was picked for United.

BECAUSE, Brentford pay the 14th most in championship

With the 14th highest wages in Championship, he made it into playoff for 2 seasons in a row outscoring the league winners ...in the process developed players like Watkins....

He achieved the goal of promotion for the club in 74 years. That doesnt mean anything ?

Are some of you so thick to understand , you need resources to compete ???
