No, I didn’t make the comparison with the style of football, type of person, or his philosophy. More about a guy being at a club a very long time, having done little before, getting a club promoted and successfully keeping them up on little money punching above their weight. Sometimes it just clicks for a manager at a certain club, and that can’t be replicated elsewhere. Everton weren’t always in a scrap, that’s why he was picked for United.

So by this logic, Pep will be a flop next time he leaves City ?... Or Klopp will be if & when he took over another job...Or Alex ferguson will be useless after25yrs...

Again, like you , I am not comparing Frank to these greats - just making a point that number of years at club doesnt necessarily mean they will fail

Could there be an announcement today? Or do they tend to wait until Monday?

If he was that good then why not fuck the play offs , off and win the league instead , even second would have done it
There doesn't seem to be that much correlation between Play Offs/automatic promotion and success in staying in the Premier League. Norwich won the Championship at a canter a couple of times and went straight back down finishing bottom because it's what they budgeted for. It seems to have more to do with investment (whether that's straight signings or a long-term recruitment strategy) and how well that investment pays off.

Martin O'Neill's Leicester also came up through the Play Offs in 1996. They were predicted to finish bottom but they took the Premier League by storm and won the Coca Cola Cup. Sunderland won the Championship in 1996 and were the only newly promoted team to go down.

We were, until teams worked out how to play against us. He's never been able to rectify that either. He won a ligue 1, but you or I could've done that, and was lucky he survived his first season. He couldn't change up and football is passing him by. With a mostly fully fit team, his record in the league in his last 24 games we won 6 drew 7 lost 11. If it wasn't for the CL run, he'd have been sacked that season. He looked lost in his last year, afraid to make subs until the 70th-80th minutes and refused to drop his golden boys despite dropping 5/10's for months. I felt sorry for him, but towards the end, he was done.

Not winning anything with that side is unforgivable. And nothing he's done since tells me bringing him back would be a good idea.
Wasn’t he also the only manager of a club to never sign a single player in a transfer window

Considering the millions and millions of our pounds this club has wasted on totally useless personnel, I'm not sure we're in a strong position to criticise Brentford/Frank's player purchase performance.

He has PL experience and has done well in the league year after year. It's unlikely that he will lose anything close to 22 games in a season. It's also likely that he would beat the mighty Bodo Glimt. AZ, and Frankfurt. He's beaten better teams than that. He would also most likely win with Celtic, like every manager does. So it's not riskier than having anyone who just lost 22 games.
So as long as he doesn't lose 22 games it's OK? That's the height of our ambition??? He would not have won the Europa last season. He never won in Europe with Brondby and he hasn't played a European tie in near on 10 years. With this squad he would have focused on finishing 11th and binned off the cups. That's what hes good at.

Load of shite. Pretty sure most of the morons on this board could have won the EL with Spurs. We were favourites for a reason.

Ultimately we want a manager who has proven he's done the very best he can at whichever club that is, whether that's in the PL or a European league.

Frank ticks that box. He'll also be a calming influence at the club. Again, something we need.

We can all float names like Xavi and Inzaghi, but they could easily end up being a disaster here for many reasons.

I'm all in on Frank. I genuinely think he'll be a great fit for us.
Check out what he did at Brondby. Ten years on, they're still recovering...

BECAUSE, Brentford pay the 14th most in championship

With the 14th highest wages in Championship, he made it into playoff for 2 seasons in a row outscoring the league winners ...in the process developed players like Watkins....

He achieved the goal of promotion for the club in 74 years. That doesnt mean anything ?

Are some of you so thick to understand , you need resources to compete ???
Had several loans from FC Midtjylland who were a Champions League side at the time which didn't count towards wages.

WHAT ?

What nonsense is this ? 🤣🤣🤣
They won the league in 2020/21 as well... o_O🤷‍♂️

Frank was at Brondy 2 seasons finished in top4 (which is usually the place Brondy finish).

No clue what this '10 years on thing' you spouting...
I understand fans not wanting Frank. He is entirely unproven at the level we all want to see Spurs at. But this guy seems to have a total hate boner for him like he fucked his wife or something.
