It’s obviously only speculation as to what Levy’s reasoning is, but the educated guess is it would be:
- He’s shown he can overperform his resources in a very competitive PL.
- He’s coached and developed young players into consistent PL performers.
- He’s one of the longest-serving PL managers which shows he could bring a period of stability.
Stability, or mediocrity

This may not work out but the simple fact is Brentford are a smaller club than Derby or Southampton, or Sheffield Utd etc etc . One could argue that not only should they get relegated they should have set a lowest points record in the process . Has had to sell Watkins and Toney , with their size that is like selling two Kane type essential players . I think the job he has done is phenomenal at Brentford so if it is him I will not be having a meltdown .

My big concern is he tells us to jog on and we scramble around for a month looking to hire someone , that would be a clusterfuck

Perfect post.

Legohead had far, far less experience when them up the road appointed him. They've been a decent centre forward from a title winning team for 3 years now

Frank could have left Brentford at any point in the last few years. I bet he's had offers.
But he's been loyal to them.

He fits our model perfectly. Able to improve players and work with what he's got is the perfect antidote to Flangez who has made every player regress and literally relies on having better players than the opposition to win.

Morning all. Feels so alive being a Tottenham fan as everything lines up how it's supposed to be!
Good luck, Mr Frank.
Plus a new *Clipse album dropping next month- holy moly!

Stability, or mediocrity
I don't see any reason why Frank can't build on what Ange has already done. If Frank was mediocre, Brentford would not have enjoyed four successive seasons of Premier League football despite losing key personnel. This guy is a significant talent.

I, for one, am very keen to see what Frank can get out of our existing group of players. I think he's capable of more than mid-table. As I've said elsewhere, I expect top 6 and competitive performance in all the cups under his watch.

I’d like us not to get run through by everyone in the PL like Bonnie Blue at a stag do, yeah. I’d like us not to have a terrible record against other “top six” sides like Ange had. I’d like us to be difficult to score against and hard to beat at home.
Franks record vs the big 6 (both Manc clubs, Liverpool, Chavs, us and Woolwich)
PLD 48
W 10
D 11
L 27
Prepare to be dissapointed.

Plenty of examples of managers whose first job didn't pan out well. Pretty sure Wenger is a good example of that. Not judging Frank on a job he left in 2016. He's had nine years of growth since then.
He didn't even do a disasterclass at Brondby either, it's all just made up shite. Don't want frank? Fine. Make up shit to support your argument? Not so much.
