Same defence coach (Matt Wells) as last season .....
Sad A Christmas Story GIF by filmeditor

Yeah, maybe but common sense can go out the window with Spurs. Does worry me a bit if Wells is coaching our press. It was so shambolic last year. I’d imagine the structure of it will have Frank’s direct input to start with and then it’ll be more about constructing sessions to implement it where Wells will have some freedom.

Frank will tell them the pressing cues, set the target kpi’s and performance metrics.

Wells will show him his session plans and Frank likely watches the sessions to make sure he’s getting what he wants

Sth like that anyway

Well, that can be your opinion. You haven't really supported your opinion with any facts, however. I have - prior to Ange, Poch's last 24 games were as bad as Spurs had been since Ramos.

The end of both men's time at Spurs is somewhat similar - shit league and domestic cup results propped up by a European cup run that was partially assisted by fortuitous draws.

Ange was more shit in the league, and had more assistance from fortunate draws, but also managed to close the deal and lift a cup. And no, I'm not putting them in the same category - before 2018-19, Poch was magnificent...he simoly ran out of magic.
I just think some fans and the club in particular dont want poch back as dont want to admit defeat and swallow their pride. Put it this way Id rather have poch in charge than frank. I would buy a membership again if poch returned.

I think he improved individuals (like Spence) , but the overall system (Ange-ball) was flawed. You cannot defend successfully with 2 slow CBs (4th and n5th choice) on the halfway line, the FBs on the edge of the opponents box, and the #6 making underlapping runs mid way in the opposition half

It was a system in defence the players hated playing. Not to anyone's surprise. Sensible football is the name of the game next season. Frank did day yesterday in the video released that he alters tactics for each opponent. That is fine but we can't be a submissive team like Brentford were on occasion. We have to have teams afraid of us. I suspect he will set us up like that. A fine balance is required.
