Not a fan but we see how he goes, with success minds change. Hope for the best but it's quite frightening when you see the calibre of players all the top clubs are bringing in.
Yes I agree re Liverpool city and possibly Chelsea and United. But Woolwich only signing madueke? I wouldn’t call him a high calibre of player, give me kudus over him any day.Newcastle have only signed elanga.I’m not sure villa have signed anyone yet either.

Absolutel nonsense.

He heeds to make us competitive, in the same way as Pochettino was able to, albeit with objectively better players abd challengers who were not as good.

Then it's more likely that trophies follow. Being abject and winning a trophy is not progress or a sign of competence.

Fuck being competitive.

He needs to win trophies to have a long career as a Spurs head coach

If the pressure is too much, don’t take the job

Yep I think so to.

This should be the standard for every manager at our club, I'm not sure the board see it that way though...

Arteta is doing a painfully good job, and trophies are only absent because they are being beaten to the punch by quirks and some excellent teams.

Last season was the worst I can remember andsalvaged fortuitously. I would hate future seasons to be the same.

I want weekly joy as opposed to 2 or 3 days of glee, which csn easily go either way. Not the sign of a top club.

The fcuking raising of the bar for Frank is a joke.

All good but sorry I'm not going through a period or being nearly men if our team is good enough to win.

Seriously? Have you been hit on the head recently? Are you suffering from short term memory loss?

Martin Jol got back to back top 5 finishes, the first time we'd done that in over 20 years. A rocky start to the next season though and he was promptly sacked - half way through a game no less.

Juande Ramos won our first (and until Ange our last) trophy in 10 years, but 2 points from 8 games at the start of next season - sacked.

Harry Redknapp, got us to a cup final, and finished 5th once and 4th twice during his tenure, including qualifying for the Chapions League for the first time. Didn't stop Levy sacking him.

Pochettino, got us to two cup finals including Tottenham's first ever Champions League final. He also finished in the top 5 for 5 consecutive seasons (including a couple of quixotic tilts at the title). The only other Spurs manager to achieve that being Bill Nich. Yet the first sign of a blip he was out on his ear.

Mourinho - Sacked on the eve of a cup final, he'd likely have won.

Conte - top 4 in his first season, and 4th in his second when Levy sacked him.

And then there's Ange...

It doesn't matter how successful our managers are, sooner or later Levy sacks them.

It's who we are mate.

You might not realise this but the vast vast majority of managers at all clubs get sacked eventually.

You (falsely) imply that all our sackings come from the left field after just a few bad results.

Mate; if you're "frightened" by the prospect of Kepa & Madueke then you might wanna find a darkened room and calm down a bit.

Is Gittens & Delap really "frightening"?

Villa (nothing) & Newcastle (Elanga) have done less than us...... "frightening"?

Arteta is a chronic bottle job

I’d take our season last year over theirs every day of the week

Seemed nervous and that comment around 100% losing games is like watching a car crash in slow motion. Notas charismatic as Ange. Let's hope he can make up for it in different areas.
