That’s ca 100 hours.
Very unlikely he really watched full matches...
He's been on the job nearly 2 months. For the majority of that the players were on holiday. Even since they've returned, professional footballers only train a handful of hours a day.

I expect most professional managers at top clubs are working ±60 hours a week.

It's really not that hard to believe. And I would assume like anyone trying to get through a shed load of matches, he'd be watching Probably at 2X speed and prepped recordings that cut out all the dead ball nonsense of Richi's latest victim rolling about on the deck like a twat.

He wouldn’t watch a normal game with all the dead balls included and HT breaks. They would cut it for him so only live ball situations. 60 min per game. 4 per day outside training, that’s 15 days.

I’d be more disappointed if he hadn’t
I think there are more constructive ways to use his time. He’s a very bright guy, I don’t think he’d need to watch 60 games to see problems that were apparent to people here in minutes. It seems a bit nonsensical to me.

I fear the worst for Frank. I just want to be my usual positive self when it comes to games and how we will do overall in the season but this transfer window since the MGW fiasco has given me virtually zero hope of anything good coming out of the upcoming season. How we can go from the incredible heights and joy of winning in Bilbao to now is just mind boggling. Only us !!!

Fucking hell mate, we haven’t even started the season yet!! Are you this depressive in real life? It’s not healthy if you are.

Nah mate I’m ridiculously positive especially when it comes to us but when that fucking nugget chairman spouts pish that we want to win the league and CL and then acts like a mid table to lower end PL club then it takes the wind out of you.

I will still travel all over the place to watch us no matter what but I do fear for the manager in terms of he’s not being given the tools. If we go out and sign a creative player,a left back and a striker then it will completely transform us strength wise and give us a chance of competing for the top four or five but I know that won’t happen. My biggest fear is with Madders out and two strikers who are not staying fit enough, two kids fighting for a left wing spot,a left back who is injured far too often and Ben Davies being a back up and the possibility of Romero getting sold late in the window then I find that scenario difficult to be positive about.

I do believe we’ll be harder to beat but I’m not expecting exciting football. I think we’ll be a counter team and high press team when we play. Watching the pre season games we’ve sat in really deep at times and went after teams aggressively when teams are playing out from goal kicks.

Watching a shitload of film is just part and parcel of the gig, really.

100%.
These guys live, sleep and breathe football. It’s crazy the amount of football they watch.

Plus he’s had flights galore and been living in hotels while we have been travelling on tour. Hours to kill there.

It’s the main indicator you know that nobody on here has a full time job in football. You don’t have the time to be pissing around talking to random strangers. The job never stops.

Its a lot easier to see the footie now - its all televised somewhere. In the past as a manager you'd have to go to actually be at the game. Could be Orient. Could be Brum, could be feckin Carlisle. And when you got there you might find the player you were after wasnt even in the XI. At least now you can do it from the comfort of your home. Fast forward the breaks. Even get someone to edit it down to the bits youre interested in.
