Still getting injuries, captain and best player we've had in years now gone. Getting turned over worse than last season, and to top it off... the semi attractive football we did see at times last season a distant memory...

Now instead of having a manager actively calling out the need for experience, we have a manager who will be asked to "coach" a champions league level team on absolute peanuts.

If he doesn’t get backed between now & the end of the window, I’m afraid I’ll see Nuno vibes, not to his fault.
It's exactly like Nuno all over again. It's the same pragmatic style which we only accept if we are competing and he hasn't got the investment to compete.

Midtable playing pragmatic football? I think the first home game where we don't score you start hearing boos. And it'll get louder and louder each time.

I'm not blaming Frank at all. Just such a strange appointment if we weren't going to back him. We don't like that style

It's nothing like Nuno.

You guys need to stop with the peyote.

Anyone who wants to start judging Frank needs to go back in their hole.

We have lost one game in 3 against good squads and Bayern are a top 8 European side.

There are times to judge managers and its not fcuking now.

In the meantime Levy might want to consider giving the bloke some help.

Its beyond stupid to compare Frank to Nuno or any other previous manager at this stage.

We not even played 1 competitive game and already comparing him to Nuno. Laughable.
I think he’s a better manager than Nuno but it’s hard not to see the parallels

Previous manager sacked and clear holes in the squad, basically zero technical quality in the side and very little threat. No signings of note made for new manager. Levy is clearly setting him up to fail in the exact same way Nuno was set up to fail.

Why would he regret coming here? Were PSGs, Citys, Madrids of the world knocking his door or something?

And why would he regret leaving Brentford, a club destined to lose their best players every transfer window while replacing them with guys like 35 yr old Jordan Henderson?

Most importantly, unlike what many seem to believe, these managers do not have more job security in those small time clubs than they do here. Their chairmen are not less trigger happy or more supportive than Levy.

Your average manager lasts 18-24 months in a club these days, get used to it.

Hes played 5/6 pre season games and its pragmatic Scandi ball that Bayern absolutely destroyed whilst not getting out of first gear. This isn't suddenly going to change when Burnley rock up. We areca fucking shambles and he has to accept a portion of the responsibility. You decide what portion.

We know that just as managers before him haven't been backed, he's been set up to fail. This cycle will continue until Levy has gone which is not happening. If you're a spurs suppoter, you already know this.
If you are a putative or fairly new supporter, "Abandon all hope, you who enter here"

It's going to happen whether you like it or not. The benchmark, according to Levy himself, is winning the league and CL. So when results inevitably go absolutely nothing like that, the boos start, pundits and press weigh in and a dark cloud hovers.

I don't care who the manager is, as long as they don't get backed, like Frank, the frustration with what's happening at the club is going to be exacerbated by poor performances, and no doubt a loud minority will blame Frank, and Levy has set this up with his ridiculous statement that is looking more outrageous by the day. No manager is set up for success here and Frank will likely be a victim of that.

It's the same cycle over and over again, changing the manager won't do anything, but Levy will sack whoever it is to deflect blame.

I'm beyond fed up of it. Pep wouldn't last two years here at this rate either. I feel bad for the guy and the season hasn't even started. Get settled in ladies and gentlemen, it's going to be a long season.

That would be daft. Ange had very little idea what he was doing. And he still got 2 years.
Little idea = won more than Frank. Look Ange was completely out of his depth but Frank is more likely to be Nuno than Poch. Hes had five pre season games and we look a dumpster fire. Most of that is not on Frank but he has to accept responsibility. Baring the top six this is the most expensive squad assembled in the PL. That's a fact regardless of how shit most of those players are. If he cant get a little tune out of them then he will be on Nuno time frame. Only this time, there is no Conte but right now I'd take fucking Dych. At least he can organise.

I’ll be honest here, I’m going to enjoy the fact that it will be you who has to do the heavy lifting of defending the coach instead of me after your efforts with Ange last season and this summer
Difference between you and me is I'll be joining in on it if he's been given a reasonable amount of time and isn't doing a reasonable job with the players he has.

No player or manager comes before this club.

Levy has fcuked himself with his comments, and one way or the other, they will make or break him. No doubt in my mind.
