Frank had absolutely no clue what to do once it became apparent that Bournemouth were completely outplaying us today.

Credits to Iraola though, he and his team were absolutely spot on today.

We have to stay behind the team and manager but I've similar concerns in home games. We shouldn't be setting up so defensive and then taking our time on throws and stuff. We need to play with a lot more urgency. Its ok to be passive and pragmatic away from home but we need to be able to dominate teams at home. Or else this arrangement won't work in the long term.

In Frank's defence, we were missing a number 10 today and Solanke ended up being a far bigger loss than we realised as Richie just had a disaster. But this performance can't happen again. We are better than this.
True. There's a lot of underdog mentality about him but we need to play like a big team at home if we have high ambitions.

When we hear from Frank and if asked, one hopes he talks of work being done on a couple more transfers.

All we saw today is why we need what hopefully Simons can bring, but also how much we miss Maddison and Kukusevski, if for nothing else but creativity.

Against City we weathered the storm and grew into the game. We were happy to sit and pick them off. The passive and pragmatic game plan was perfect.

Today we didn't weather the storm and were lucky not to be 3/4 down at half time. We got absolutely battered and had no response.
There just kinda wasn't much storm with City.

And sure, credit Frank's tactics for that, but facing the same setup Bournemouth played through our pressure with ease.

Got it wrong today with his midfield selection. Didn't really have any answer to Bournemouth. That being said the players were awful today but he made the subs too late.

One of the bright spots through the preseason and first two matches was his ability and willingness to switch it up depending on opposition.

And then he lines us up against Bournemouth at home same as City away.

I was really looking forward to seeing his strategy with the XI today considering home to the Cherries is significantly different than away to City. Disappointing.

Probably not but we'd still have 9 others on the pitch looking like they can't trap a ball. Even Kudus etc were pretty fucking shit... Palhinha exactly what I'd thought he'd be against a team where he has to do more than put in some challenges.

Need a lot more proper footballers. Simons is a good start.

We need a ceiling raiser, I think we have missed a player with personality on the ball for a while whilst our players don't want to take responsibility.

Agree about Palhinha, this was my reservation before we signed him, he's not the guy to set the tempo or play quick passes although with a player like Simons on the pitch ball progression in midfield improves.

I agree, any that you can suggest we could get?
