Look at the table

Who is bottom?

Therefore they are the worse team in the league. That is not even debatable.

In summary... your understanding of football is right up there with Eni Aluko.
Yeah and Sunderland are the 4th best team in the league am I right? Better than City, Chelsea, Woolwich. Its right there in black and white and therefore not even debatable....

I can't take you seriously pal....

A bit of unfair opinions on him. Some people seems to forget we finished fucking 17th last season and the horrible football we showed under Ange. His tactics were all about attacking football, but we looked like a bunch of farmers when attacking and even worse defending. Look for the xG in our last games last season: Wolves (1.63), Forrest (2.4), Liverpool (0.51), Palace (0.81), West Ham (0.85), Villa (0.52) and Brighton (1.85). Our attack wasn't exactly the most prolific and we had Sonlanke and Son playing in that front 3, both a lot better than Richie and whoever plays on the left wing for us, 2 of the front 3 from last season are better than what we have now. Just Kudus in better than Johnson on the right. He's not meant to operate miracles. Of course we are dissapointed with some of his choices like playing Xavi on the left or Richie upfront, but there's not much he can do tbh, playing Tel or Odo are the options, both have been heavly criticized for their lack of end product too.

Said that, we can see a hell of a improvement on the defense in just 8 games this season. The same defense that conceded 65 goals in EPL under our last manager. Udogie is back to his best and the same can be said about Romero. Specence, VdV and Porro were good even when we looked shite most of the time, but they keep on being very solid and Porro seems a lot more confortable defending than before. Vicario costed us some goals, yes, and maybe the time for Kinsky has arrived, but again is a hard decision for a manager that just stepped in, as Vicario seems very commited to the team and an example of a hard working athlete.

Midfield, and that is where I think Frank could do a bit better with what he has. Too defensive playing at home, lacks of creativty and ball progression could be sorted with the options he has. We have at least 5 good options for midfield and Grey showed promise playing against Doncaster. He needs to figure out the best choices for every game. Seems Palhinha and Rodri aren't the best options for games agains botto half of the table teams. Also Xavi should be played centrally. Give opportunities to Odo or Tel on the right, there's nothing to lose, we are benefiting a lot more from Xavi playing central and one on them on the left than playing Xavi there and two defensive midfielders.

TRUST THE PROCESS!

Our attacking patterns are absolutely fucking abysmal. Our midfield passing is nonexistent. We have zero free-flowing attacking moves resulting in a goal this season. zero. Only crosses and set pieces.

Sort it the fuck out or we will finish 9th.

Can we not do this again.

Was exactly the same under Conte and then the media got wind of it, Carragher started running the “unsustainable” narrative and then Spurs fans bought in and made it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Why can’t we just roll with it for a while and see where we are in a few months

Narrative chasing cunts everywhere...... Everyone wants the clout from being the first to proverbially "call it".

We use to sort that out 10 mins before our first pre season game when I played... it certainly didnt take 4 months.

When wasters on the internet start to reference their own (ahem) careers you know it's banter time.

Risking a heart attack, playing hangover-ball for 'The Dog & Vomit FC' is not a football career, you absolute divs.

If I’m being honest, as much as I’m saying it’s crazy to start jumping on Frank’s back already, we never controlled any part of that game. Doherty had the best chance of the first half and nearly punished us for it when he hit the stanchion.

They had several other dangerous situations as well. I’m not sure we hit the target in the first 45.

We had:

Kudus stung the keepers gloves with a belter of a cross goal shot.
Keeper tipped one of our shots onto the bar early on.
Goal ruled out for offside.
Berg air shot
+ a few other scenarios.

No way on earth they had the better of the 1st half.... No. Way.

Yeah, we were all over them in the first half. The overwhelming consensus at half time was we were sloppy in the final third but could very well have been 2-0 up.

Not a shot on target and would have been a worldy finish if it hit the target. Far from an easy chance.

They had the best chance of the first half. Absolutely without any question.

We have endured the most insufferable, self-promoting clueless bum for the best part of two years.

Frank is intelligent, experienced and needs nothing but support and, most importantly, backing.

Which was no less dangerous than the Doherty shot.

Yet we were given a corner.

Dance around caveats as much as you like; but they weren't the more "dangerous"/threatening team in the 1st half.

No. Way.

They just weren't.

It def was. Doherty had to score.

If it went in, it would have been chalked off.

I just said that they had the best chance of the first half and we weren't in control of the game in the first half. Because we weren't that great in the first half either.

It was a poor performance for 90mins. I am still behind Frank, as everyone should be because the season has started well...better than expected even but people getting overly defensive is just silly.

I'm not being overly defensive at all........ The 2nd half was rubbish and a big part of that was made worse by TFs subs. I'm just not having the reams of bollocks I'm reading about the first half. We were blatantly the better side and were frustrated not to have found ourselves 1 or 2 up at HT.

You say we lacked "control" (and FWIW I wouldn't opt to claim we did have it outright); but half the people in the OMT didn't want Bentancur <> Odo at HT because they feared we'd relinquish "control".

Those people were wrong

Benta is the weak link right now- offers almost nothing in attack. Only a marginally good defender too.

Frank needs to be smart and courageous enough to bench him, despite him being a senior leader in the squad and a good citizen otherwise. I think he's deferring to Benta's seniority somewhat, but Bergvall and Sarr can do a better job in CM, and need to play ahead of him.

Our best XI right now, barring injuries:

Richy
Odo - Xavi - Kudus
Sarr - Palh
Djed - VdV - Rom - PP
Vic
Bergvall should be our primary backup CM option at 8 or 6, ahead of Benta. Is our backup 10 option too until Madds and Kulu come back.

An unscientific take ... 45 per cent are confident we made the right choice, 45 per cent are willing to give the benefit of the doubt but are not yet convinced, 10 per cent think it was a bad appointment.
