Are you Frank Out or In?

Don't see how that's Frank out tbh just stating what I think will happen, he's still got plenty of time and it's been a decent start, some positive signs and some worrying but it's early days.

However I maintain if he gives Johnson meaningful minutes it will cost us and him.
Problem is that with Madders and Kulu out, he looks at his bench and smiling up at him are Brenners, Tel and Odobert. Wouldn't you look away again and think "oh FFS!" ???

Too many people crave on being negative, so desperate for it to fail so they can say “told you so”

Weirdos.

It’s the internet. Weirdos keep the place alive!!

Bodo aren't Championship level. They are 4 times champions of Norway, Europa League semi finalists (having knocked out Lazio, Olympiacos, Twente) and are ranked 51st in the UEFA rankings (Tottenham are 48th) .

Away from home, on a plastic pitch. 2-2 was an acceptable result for this stage of the competition.
Wow.

That ain't a compliment.

sorry this is more bulshit

Nuno had 4 defeats conceding 3 goals.

And no clean sheets last 7 games, conceding over 2 a game.

I get that you hate that Frank is here, but that is NOT what is happening here.

Also Nuno took over a team that wasn't great, but it finished 7th. Now tell me where CLownshoes finished.

It's absolutely NOT the same thing.
sorry this not more BS
As I pointed out, the games after the international break will determine what the fanbase (not just me) feel about Frank. Go read the threads... many are now seeing Frank for what he is... a solid mid table manager who generally plays negative regressive football and who is unable to make the jump to elite level. I don't hate Frank at all despite the fact you keep spouting that bollocks... I never wanted him at our club and I still don't and it would be completely disingenuous for me to say anything other than that... but I don't hate him... If I supported a team with zero ambition, I'd love him at my club. The next fixtures after the international break will be telling... we lose those in a similar manner to Nuno's final few games then what excuse will you move to then? This is ABSOLUTELY THE SAME. Some positive early results without positive performances (see Nuno's first few games) is a clear indication of a manager who is going to struggle when the level of competition increases (see Nuno's last few games and yes I know Palace was in there but so were United, Chelsea and Woolwich so stop flogging the horse that those defeats were against crap teams). If he get's few the games after the International break with good results and good performances then he get's longer... if not, then the similarities with Nuno's reign (who by the way wasn't given anywhere near the backing Frank got in the summer) are obvious even to the blind...

One final point, Clownshoes won a trophy and did the double over your beloved Frank but hey you just focus on previous league position like it has any relevance (see Leicester 14th, 1st, 12th) and don't consider the context behind that... and no, I am not for umpteenth time going to explain the context.

The only managers we've had had in the past 20 years who were therefore qualified in your view were Conte and Mourinho
Glasner is a proven winner - he would qualify but I would take Conte back tomorrow in a heartbeat... someone who cares passionately about winning, second isn't acceptable for him let alone midtable. Frank's reply when told we were 7th favourites for PL... "I'll take that" - says it all really... and what is far sadder than that is so many of our fanbase seem okay with that too...

We won a trophy? Oh, I must have missed that!

Moron

so what about a double? Tactics team smashed Poch twice. Whats yer point? We should have fired poch and rehired the Gilet'd one? Really?

And he's not my beloved Frank as well you know. I think he's a big improvement on Clownshoes, with PL experience, and I'll support him like any of the 6-7 that I thought wouldve done a good job.

Last won the league in 1961.
Average league position since we sacked Poch. 8th.
Finished in the top 4 once.

On paper very much a mid table team at the moment. No truly elite striker. A GK who’s definitely not at the top level. Lots of promise in the squad. Not much actual quality you would put into a “best of” premier league squad of 25. Let alone the best XI.

And is Frank just a mid table manager? I dont think anybody would call him elite either. Nothing in his CV shouts that. It’s a step up for him too.

His main job seems to be to stabilise a ship, but without a few key players on Day 1. Which is unfortunate

So my only concern for him is we have no idea what the new board want.
Exciting football - not yet.
Sold out matches - nope.
Feeling we can achieve something special this season. - I’d say no at this point.

Wonder how the Lewis family play this game of executive management?
Happy to give managers longer than the league average?
Longer than the Daniel Levy average manager lifespan??

Guess we will find out.
On the pitch we are very much mid table on paper (especially the paper the accounts are submitted on) we should be top three of four but I get your point, it has been a slow decline and not having Maddison and maybe Kulu available is more of an issue than I thought it would be but I don't think you can plead poverty when you spent 150m on forwards in the summer and also added a highly rated French international on loan (granted he's had a dead leg). The games after the international break will be telling... we have some tough fixtures and need to improve massively. As you say, we will soon find out if this board are patient or not.

Not pleading poverty at all.

But putting us top 3 -on paper- means only two clubs would be ahead of us.

Who are they in your opinion?
Who is the other club on our level for 3rd or 4th?

That made me chuckle, but I think in that position I'd rather give the two 20 year olds a chance to show if they can improve and be an option moving forward before the problem (hopefully) gets addressed in January rather than relying on a 24 year old who's proven time and again he ain't nowhere near good enough.

You know the answer Will and you know I am comparing Revenue as a gauge for where you should be competing in the league... you probably don't agree with that but baring a few edge cases every season it's a pretty reasonable way of estimating where teams are likely to finish. If you look at the betting at the start of the season I am pretty sure you would see a corelation between where they are in the bookmakers table and where they are in the revenue table baring United who are basket case.

Anyway, here is what I am referring to

City 838m
United 770m (no CL)
Woolwich 716m
Liverpool 714m
Spurs 615m (no CL)
Chelsea 545m (no CL)

after the big six you have Newcastle 372m

With CL (which is about 100m), we are in the same bracket as Woolwich and Liverpool (on paper) so therefore only City and United are consistently ahead of us (on paper) but as we both know, football is not played on paper otherwise we would be challenging top four every season and not once since Poch left.

You are the type of fan that wanted us to lose in Bilbao aren't you... you couldn't stand the thought of "Clownshoes" being the one to get us over the line... even now I am sure you give him zero credit and say bollocks like it was the players who won the trophy... that's moronic behaviour and so is blind faith in a manager clearly out of his depth... you're going on ignore... byeeeee

If we drop points against Leeds, this thread is only going in one direction, and it’s not a good direction.

Just getting this in early, this Leeds game is STILL too early to be forming a final opinion on Frank.

But… if we do lose another game before an international break, we need to get panorama in to investigate this fucking football club

Who should have got the job?

Ok that's it

On Ignore Cunt.

I've never been more stressed in a game in 60 odd years than when holding out that last half hour

I'm a fan. I go to games. I call out people who eff and blind at our players. I sang the Ange song with the away fans at Saints knowing full well what I thought of him.

Wanting to lose in Bilbao my arse. The sort of thing that you throw at people who disagree with you when you've nothing to say.
ppg for the first 10 matches that season?
Irrelevant with what came after. He got worked out by every manager in the PL. But you know that.

Like it's irrelvant that Iraola pretty much lost his first 10. Look what came after.

Anyway, fuck off cunt
