You will though. You won't have a choice.

Now give it a rest you boring, muggy little swamprat.
When our own fans to speak each other like this, who needs opposing fans? Are other fans like this to their own kind, or do we just hate each other as well as everyone else? A little pathetic really. See so much self-abuse of our own people on this site, it's becoming a depressing place to check-in on.

He’s not a spurs fan and I stand by that post.

Don’t like it? Leave. You pedant.

He is a Spurs fan. You just do your fake insult thing to anyone that says shit you don’t like.

There’s definitely gooners on here. Some get called it and aren’t, some don’t get called out but definitely are.

You believe what you want to believe. I’ve seen no evidence from any of his posts that he’s a spurs fan.

He’s either a troll or just holds extremely stupid opinions.

No fake insult here either. I think he’s one of the biggest pricks on the forum.

I’ve called him out and I 100% stand by it.

And yes, there are definitely gooners on here.

Don’t waste my time replying. This is the Thomas Frank thread and any further derailing of this thread will be met with a foul vote.

Simple as that. Conversation closed.

I like Thomas Frank, he’s got big ears and reminds me of an Elf from LOTR. Everytime I see a press conference, I get images in my head of Frank cutting about in long robes, eating exotic looking salads and listening to harp music in a forest kingdom.

I do not like the risk averse approach. I do not like the lack of any ball progression through midfield. But when you step back and really think about it, Frank deserves time. At least a full season. Preferably two. In the last 6 months - new Chairman, New CEO, new Manager, new Captain. He has not yet had the luxury of selecting Solanke, Muani, Maddison, Kulusevski or Dragusin. He has had one window that Levy managed to mess up as a parting gift. And we're getting decent results (1 loss from 8 games across all comps). The PSG, Man C, and Woolwich (pre-season) games are an indicator that he can be a very good manager for us. Poch, Conte, Mourinho etc. all had 'those' games against team like Wolves and Bournemouth at home.

I'd rate Frank's job at Brentford similar to Moyes at Everton (pre-United). Moyes setup a team that were a nightmare to play against and from the general view across the division was that Moyes was ready to manage a top team.

However, Moyes had hit his ceiling. His Everton had never really setup to play and dominate like a top team and Rio Ferdinand recently mentioned how Moyes had them going into games playing with fear by having a game plan to stop the opposition's best players, rather than focusing on hurting them with your own star players.

This was always my concern with Frank. His home form for Brentford last year against inferior teams was alarming. They had little solution bar set peices when a team parked the bus on them. Hopefully Frank can do what Moyes could not, and adapt to being a big club manager. Maybe Moyes wasn't given enough time but he ultimately failed.

Mate, i'm sorry to bring this up, but your alarmist posting has got to kind of chill out.

Everything is a worry or alarming and I rarely see that based on any facts whatsoever - more you're projecting your own feelings regardless of the truth.

Brentford only lost at home to

Woolwich, Liverpool, Us, Villa Forest and Fulham. The only shit team from last season they lost to were us.

He drew with City, Everton and Chelsea and West Ham

Beat

Palace, Southampton, Wolves, Ipswich, Bournemouth, Leicester, Newcastle, Brighton, United.

So i have no idea what that whole last paragraph is even about?? who did they lose to that parked the bus????

I am not waiting 2 fucking years..

See ya.

So, it’s definitely still early and results have been better than I expected to start with

But anyone got an explanation for the idea of forcing it wide and leaving CM vacant?

Are the players doing something he doesn’t want them to? Is he hoping to build the next layer of building up through the middle?

Really don’t get it tbh and it’s making most of our players look worse than they are

Our CM's aren't up to the job?

Bentancur hiding?

We had the exact same issue under Ange. Situation significantly improved once we made some subs.

I do not think it is just on the players. I think it is the tactics. We clearly are being told to not take risks in central positions and we progress up the flanks or via a long ball.

That said, personnel wise I think it has to be (for 90% of games):

One of Bentancur / Palhinha as the #6
One of Sarr / Bergvall / Gray as the #8
One of Simons / Kudus / Maddison / Kulusevski / Williams-Barnett as the #10

Tomorrow I'd like to see this team start:

Vicario
Porro -- Romero -- VDV -- Udogie
Palhinha
Gray -- Simons
Kudus --- Richy --- Odobert

Two things people need to remember.

1) Frank has probably been giving the target of achievements this year, win something or get CL. Something akin to that.

2) Everyone says that when you join a team, that finished 17th in the league, heamoraging goals like it's crazy season, zero defence, can't string more than two passes together, can't create, and everything is shit storm cluster-fuck of epic proportions.

The first thing you do is sort the defence out and steady the ship. The flair and guile come later.

I am not happy with all the performances, but fecking hell, give to the guy some time to cook and work his magic.

It's insane people to think that we are going to Barcelona after 6 games.

We need patience, the squad is a mess, thanks to Levynomics, and the new people at the top are going to need several windows too address what needs to be done.

Not a single thought about the circumstances Frank is in.

Yeah, I would agree if things are still not looking good after 18 months, but it's been six fecking league games, with no depth squad.

He is working miracles to have only lost one game so far.
