Why is a roller coaster ride to be expected. We have a squad full or internationals many of which cost a fortune. A good manager should be able to get a tune out of them. We've spent 200m so far this season and 200m last season. How many more new players do you want? This season has already had a few low points. Why should we accept more... its shameful to accept regression.
You are not being realistic.
We have bought players as in the stated 200 million pounds, but we have lost Son, albeit an ageing and less able Son, and have been without 2 PL-honed players in Maddison and Kulusevski. We have no Solanke.
All have been replaced by untried and young players, and assisted by a hardworking but increasingly blunt Richarlison.
We also have a manager who has to grapple with overcoming a home record which is clearly becoming a bit of a noose, and with players who are not able as yet to cope with the pressure it brings. That may not happen at all for some, and that's where quick decisions are necessary.
And I cite the respective starts of United and Liverpool, and even more so Newcastle to try and provide a need for perspective.
