So not letting in an average of 2+ goals a game to now being less than a goal game isn't a sign that things are slowly changing, then what it is?

On top of it being less than 3 months after one giant shit storm of a mess of epic proportions of a season, to what are you expecting, when Frank has inherited a Frankenstein squad? As you put it.

Unrealistic expectations? Yes

Tough, just gonna have to stop whining, because your unrealistic expectations are not being met, especially when you understand that Frank has a Frankenstein squad, with no real balance, or functional left hand side, as well as, a squad full off youngsters that require time to develop...

Whilst all the time, expected to compete in CL, PL, FA cup and League cup.

Seriously, no one knows how it will turn out, it's guess work on 50/50 chance it work or fail.

But the fact we are not on course to lose 22 games in fecking season is a big step forward.

Nice one. Sometimes I think fans are in this weird prism of thinking we should be winning every game. Despite it probably being 75% the manager’s fault, you don’t take a group of players that finished 17th with 22 defeats and have them top 4 in one season. Every smart pundit said it in the summer. Of course the group of players under achieved massively last season but it is still the same group of players. It’s why I said I expected us to finish 8th this season with the ceiling being the Europa League place if we performed above expectations. Before we made any significant transfers I think I may have even said I could see us finishing as low as 12th but I think 5th to 8th is more realistic. And that is if we get some key inured players back.

Lose today and I think he'll really be on borrowed time. He hasn't really provided any indication that there's some sort of plan or method.

There are some absolute weapons on this forum. What fucking planet are you on? Borrowed time? 😂😂😂

We’ve only lost twice in the league. Looking very well organised at the back. A win takes us up to second ffs, two points behind Woolwich.

What the fuck do you want? Win every single game 5-0?

Stop with the dramatics. You sound like a spoilt child.

I think he will definitely have until Christmas before any alarms sound. But the coming fixtures will be nail-biting. And I thought we have become more controlled and poised that I can look forward to games now instead of feeling so dreadful at possibility of boring football served up.

Why do some of our “fans” seem to want every manager to fail? 🤔

It’s exhausting. I get that every manager is going to be divisive, and you’re always going to get sections of fans who don’t want a particular manager, but it feels like some fans are more hellbent on hoping that a manager fails rather than wanting the team to do well.

Modern football fandom doesn’t help either. People need to realise that you’re not going to win every game and you’ll have ups and downs throughout a season.

I think its like a woman who thinks all men are toxic because they keep getting hurt. Is that because she keeps choosing bad boys or is she actually the toxic one who keeps pushing men away from her? Probably a bit of both in most cases.

Have all our managers been shit or are we the problem? Doubting Frank is very easy right now and I'm very much in that gang. For me it comes from being hurt before. I've many times falling for a manager thinking this is the one ( recently I was all in behind Poch, Mourinho, Conte and Ange) and then i look back thinking maybe i was foolish all along and just ignored the early red flags. I definitely done this with Ange. Nuno was the only one i never got behind properly and once results turned i was happy to see him gone. Frank has already demonstrated red flags and I'm on high alert because I've been hurt before! Maybe I'm just a broken fan at this stage but I'm just not buying into Frank yet. Maybe that is just to protect myself

Frank is clearly a decent bloke and I hope he succeeds, but games like todays we cannot lose. Player for player, we have a better squad than Everton.

At the moment, our forward players are not playing for each other. They don't support each other in possession, they're static when we're in the final third and so they inevitably end up playing backwards and sidewards. From the outside looking in, this says to me that the players don't really like each other and there's a bit of politics going in behind the scenes.

It's up to Frank to fix that, and if he can't, the run of games we have coming up before Christmas will be the end of him.
