TBF English is not his native TongueI've lifted this excerpt from an apparent Football London transcript of the press conference for the goon match, this time Frank doesn't say ''Very very very'' rather he says ''really really ready''. Who talks that way? Someone doing entertainment at an under 7s children's party?
Sure but the same can be said for nearly every manager in the league.
So if he is not inheriting a mess I think it just proves that Ange was way out of his depth in the PL , add in his stint at Forest who look 100 times better just for him not being there it’s very much a case of thanks for the EL but the best decision Levy and Enic ever made was to send big Ange packing!Frank won't get that because he isn't inheriting a mess like some posters think he is
A press conference isn't about the history of the opposing team's manager.
Yes we both agree that is the case.

Where we seem to differ is I believe that Frank should have redirected his answer back to the upcoming match, like many a manager has done in the past when a journalist asks questions outside of that particular event.
I don't want to see his energy be used by discussing the history of Arteta, he needs to be more assertive with the journalists about the type of questions they ask, unless he actually enjoys discussing Arteta's employment with our rivals, on the cusp of a NLD.
I don't mean Frank's accent, or a wrong pronunciation, or perhaps using the wrong word. He has a habit of saying things like ''very very very''.Every other foreign manager in this league has some sort of weird pronouncing English phrases, you obviously haven't seen Pep's, Emery's or Maresca's press conferences?
I guess though their fans aren't petty enough to hang onto every word and focus on someone who's native tongue isn't English, people tend to give the benefit of the doubt to foreigners and try to comprehend what they're trying to say because we're all adults.

He even says ''very very very'' on the official Spurs website.
Will you hope to have the final say, if it’s a player potentially in January or the summer?
Thomas: “I always have a final say, you know that, of course, in the end. It's team work. I'm pretty sure if one of the, I would say three of us, because Vinai is the same, not technically, technical or whatever you call it. Of course, he will have an opinion, but the three of us need to agree and if one, let's take an example, it doesn't matter if it's me, Fabio, and it's very, very, very strong, they should not be the player, then that's probably not that right. So, I'm pretty sure that we will find a good way to do it.”

Spurs vs Villa | Every word of Thomas Frank's pre-match press conference
Thomas Frank spoke to the media at Hotspur Way on Friday afternoon, ahead of our Premier League clash against Aston Villa at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (2pm). Here's what he had to say...www.tottenhamhotspur.com
It's the way he speaks at times, it comes across childish when he does it.
I think your reading to much into this , thought the interview was Very, very, Very good , you forget as well that managers aren’t politicians, they aren’t trained for this kind of thing !Yes we both agree that is the case.

Well it’s a good job he is here to coach the team in football and not English! It's the way he speaks at times, it comes across childish when he does it.

I do. It makes things look like our team is manager by a character from a children's pantomime. Neary as bad as the bloke with the tube ticket.

I don't think his use of ''very very very'' or ''really really ready'' has anything to do with not having English as his first language, because his English language is good, I reckon it's a personality quirk.
I'm not arguing that Frank's language is bad, I just cringe when he talks like ''very very very'' as if he's an entertainer at an under 7s children's party.Jesus wept, what are you on about. If you think Frank’s English is bad I can only imagine what you thought of Conte, Poch, Redknapp, Jol etc.
Is it your primary expectation for a football manager that they speak like Brian Sewell?
Okay you're very very very, really really really correct.Almost everyone in football uses the phrase “top, top player” do they also have this childish personality quirk that Frank has? Bizarre thing to be obsessed with.
