you might be right, but we've been at our best with a Jol , Poch, Redknapp

the "big" manager didn't do as well in Jose or Conte and both treated the club as a job and never fell for us .

Iraola type fits, young progressive and most importantly attacking *while being tactically aware
All managers who want to play on the front foot and give it a go.

It's going to be a long hard season.

One thing is for sure, there's no quick fix. A couple of transfer windows needed and that's assuming we start to recruit better - big assumption I know.

Frank should get the season barring a horrendous run but I'm not overly confident he's the answer long term. These are worrying signs despite the shortcomings regarding the squad.

He needs to start demonstrating that he can learn from his mistakes and evolve as a manager, and at a bigger Club to.

Its like he's still got the Brentford mindset.

Anyway. I'm still behind him despite the concerns but he's got to start changing things up.

The pressure will only get worse under this approach.

I don't think we have ever re-employed a former manager?
Everton have done it a few times IIRC. United, too.
Bring him back

I don’t like Frank’s football. It’s stale and ineffective. He set us up to draw and we still ended up conceding 4.

That’s the biggest concern for me. The fact that he can’t even execute that game plan with players like Romero/VDV/Bentancur/Paulinha in the side.

We sacrifice creativity for solidity and concede 4 fucking goals.

A separate issue is that any manager that has to start Richarlison and Odobert is fucked before the game even starts.

An undercooked squad is the fault of the owners. Poor coaching and tactics is the fault of the manager. Lack of heart, effort and energy is the fault of the players. Across the board, we’re atrocious.

Issue is the squad 100% IMO.

To play defensive like today we need a threat upfront also. We had Odobert, Richie and a half fit Kudus.

Rumours of Toney in the winter he's not a world beater but he'd hold the ball up and bring others into play.

At the same time we have no one in the midfield who can beat a press and pick a pass. Bergval maybe at some point, but Sarr has proven he can't, Bents can't Palinha can't.

So basically he's dammed if he does dammed if he don't. Doesn't have the tools to do anything against anyone decent cause the squad is midtable dross

I can't see how Toney would have made any difference. Richi was on his own without a team mate within 20 yards with Vicario hoofing the ball up.

This might actually be believable if it didn't come after so many other shit performances of the same nature.
I'll probably calm down a bit next few days but it's getting very hard to back him

I don't say this with TF specifically in mind; but I want to hear managers say "I know what went wrong... I'll fix X, Y & Z this week..... Expect better in the next game"

The old "the boss coached a win but the players didn't execute".

Now pay The Extra Mile(sey) The Extra Mile(sey) his dues.

I don't think anyone can say that the boss coached a win. He coached a terrible defeat and made a big mistake with his selection.

Away at PSG we played 3 solid midfielders in Palinha, Benta and Sarr with Kudus as a 10 and Richi at 9. Playing Odobert as LWF with Kudus RWF left far too much space for our 2 CMs to cover and it disintegrated immediately, we completely failed to disrupt Woolwich's play.
