I didn't see but according to commentators the penalty was unlucky. Two was Romero’s fault, you can’t really blame the manager for that. We played well despite the loss. Away from home against the best team in Europe and tested them twice this season. I hate losing but there were positives.
We didn't get dicked on though did we... They scored a worldie and a pen and we had the higher xg.Tottenham boss Thomas Frank, speaking to TNT Sports: "I am very pleased with the performance.
We just conceded five fucking goals you moron... Jesus Christ... someone please take the microphone away from him...
I've never seen a manager of any team that just shipped five goals open his interview with I am very pleased with the performance. Even if he just said pleased, it would be a little bit better but he went with very pleased... honestly is that our ceiling. Getting dicked by the elite clubs.
I would have given him this game if he hadn't just tried to gaslight the fanbase once again. Just say it was better but still short of the what we are striving to be.
Haven't seen it, but I can imagine his spirits are raised because he saw that we could have won tonight if the players hadn't, largely, handed PSG every goal they scored.
Where we crafted our own.
His quiet concern was the fundamentals of competing, which, I suspect, he had become critically concerned about after scum game.
Tonight he saw they can actually seriously cut it against pinnacle opponents -- in the CL, mind -- and just has to smooth out the rough edges and build in more alertness and responsiveness to certain situations.
So, he's relieved that that competitive core is actually well and truly there -- after having serious doubts -- and they fully responded to him and his instructions/game plan and sustained it until the final whistle.
Regardless of the gifted goals, that's a big boost in the larger scheme of things.
I'd be feeling more hopeful, too.
I saw a lot of good things out there tonight.
And I bet the players are kicking themselves for helping PSG score those goals after all the hard work they put into that game.
Yep. Got to build the team around this one.

Alan? Is that you?
You are 100% right... he wasn't pleased with conceding 5We didn't get dicked on though did we... They scored a worldie and a pen and we had the higher xg.
I'm sure he wasn't pleased with conceding 5 but there were definitely positives and a huge improvement from the goons game.
He actually said he was VERY pleased... it's astonishing... it's like a CEO announcing the annual results... Revenue down, Costs up, we lost 100m but I am very pleased with these results. He'd be sacked by the board. And that is what our board should do.I wish Frank would act like he's in charge of a big club. A bit more arrogance
I don't like him saying he's pleased with the performance. We got hammered ultimately
He can say he was 'pleased with aspects of the game but it's still not anywhere near where we need to be '
Being content with that performance is something you'd say if you're still in charge of Brentford
We'll do well to get anything from the Fulham game... I don't see a world where we will dominate Fulham like a big club should be doing. The Fulham game on Saturday is just huge. Newcastle away on Tuesday night is going to be a horrible night and we'll do well to get anything up there.
Its now or never for Frank. He has to address our dreadful home form and we have to put on a proper performance this weekend!
Yeah I agree with you tbh. These are the games we've been most disappointing in this season. That Wolves 1-1 result looks worse and worse every week. Home defeats to Villa and Bournemouth too. We'll do well to get anything from the Fulham game... I don't see a world where we will dominate Fulham like a big club should be doing.
I agree.... 6 points from 9... I'd go as far as to say we shouldn't be shitting the bed at St James Park either. Yeah, tough place to go but they've had the CL/PL grind and they have been struggling so maybe 7 points is par... but anything less than 6 and we are heading to lower half of the table yet again... AND silence from those in charge... I thought the new CEO was suppose to be a strong communicator... after sucking Levy off over a nice glass a wine he's AWOL... maybe it's time for the Vinai OUT chants to get going!!! Once a gooner cunt, always a gooner cunt!!!Yeah I agree with you tbh. These are the games we've been most disappointing in this season. That Wolves 1-1 result looks worse and worse every week. Home defeats to Villa and Bournemouth too.
But its now or never. Fulham and Brentford at home this week either side of Newcastle away. We have to win the 2 home games or the the same questions just get louder
We should have the option to play counter attacking when necessary, but it can’t be our go-to against the vast majority of teams. What? Ok, you really look like simpleton.
I am not suggesting us to play like we did vs Woolwich - it is clear you cannot win games playing like that.
I told that there is very wide-ranging and pre-digested thought that only way to win football match is playing like Pep.
You want examples of VERY different type coaches who does not need 65% possession and 700 passes per game (so your pre-digested "successful style")? Well, from top of my head - Jupp Heynces (humiliated Barcelona with less possession and less passes 7:1 across 2 games) also Hansi Flick as his successor in Bayern, have not watched very big number of his games as Barca manager to say too much about him there, Diego Simeone, Antonio Conte (both his Chelsea days but also recent win with Napoli in Serie A), Carlo Ancellotti who was Real manager for 4 years with huge success. Even Jurgen Klopp approach in Liverpool was significantly different to Pep and Kompany school. Is that enough for you? Or you still want to suggest that we should out-Pep Pep ?!?
We concede A LOT of goals and shots from the edge of the box; has Frank considered that maybe, just maybe giving supreme technicians and ball strikers the time and space to get shots off from range is just as detrimental as any “high line” without an intense organised press?
