I agree with you. But not on your expected time for build-up.

In 18 to 24 months, you should be able see progress - we didn't under Ange. He was not tactically versatile enough for the Prem.

But Frank has been in the job for a few months. We can't expect him and the team to challenge for Top 4 when we're trying to implement a new philosophy. What we can expect, however, is that they fight there asses off.
Won our first trophy for 20 odd years. Was that not progress?

His philosophy is not suited to a big 6 club who should be expected to dominate most of the opposition they face rather than approaching each game as the under dog hoping to nick results against the run of play.
He was a shocking appointment.
. The club needs to raise its standards, starting with the manager, or things are gonna get very ugly, very quickly and stadium will be half empty.

Ange might have been the frying pan but Frank is definitely the fire.

As soon as you turn on the fans that’s it , unacceptable from the fans? It’s unacceptable to setup like he did in a NLD! That’s the final line for me, don’t you dare question the fans you useless prick!

I think that’s part of the problem for sure. Frank has worked out which ones he knows are shit. It’s why we haven’t seen Tel and Johnson. I suspect it is why he is having to constantly rotate the team. It is because he is looking for the best fit of players but they keep letting him down.

It all goes back to recruitment and levy being a tight fucker.
He can play any variation of players in any
Shape he wants, it’s not going to make a difference if his only way of creating chances is spamming crosses or playing for set pieces. We’re nearly in December, we should at least be able to see how he’s trying to get us to create chances, how we’re trying to beat the oppo press and progress the ball between the lines. At the moment it’s really just sunday league stuff, smashing it long and trying to win second balls. I thought he was meant to be an adaptable coach but he’s managing us exactly like we’re Brentford and that is never going to work here.

Cannot see him surviving.

Newcastle will tear us a new one, and they aren't that good. Then, we have his Brentford at home. Losing is one thing, but the manner of the losses is straight-up embarrassing.

I just don't see it working under Frank.
Team has no motivation at all, yesterday's start was as bad as it gets.
All these highly rated coaches he brought with him, what are they achieving?
As it stands, genuinely think this team is going to be sucked into a relegation battle.
Top tier ticket prices for this garbage i don't think so.
I'm afraid Lewis family, you've got a big problem, you're club is a mess, manager drowning under the weight of what to do.
Our top six status has long gone, now, we are a mid table side.

My immediate reaction after the game last night was that Frank is not the right man to manage this club.

I'm not one to turn on a manager this early in his tenure. I'm on record here, more than once, and specifically since Frank was appointed, that we need to give a manager a chance and stop this merry go round of firing managers every 18 months to 2 years.

Having slept on it, I'm still of the view that Frank needs to go. Last night's game was the last straw. We have no identity. The big selling point for Frank was that he was an excellent coach who could get the best out of players and had the capacity to adapt tactics in real time to match the challenges presented during games. He has shown none of that.

We look clueless, ponderous, bereft of ideas, even worse defensively than last year, and infinitely more toothless in attack.

I see nothing to suggest we will progress under this manager. It pains me to see our beloved club in such a seemingly terminal decline.

He’s big on set-pieces ad crosses from the wing or from out full-backs. That’s his style. He doesn’t have anything else. Playing through the middle? No chance.

He's right though the fans that singled out Vic and booed him are fucking idiots, he literally said he was fine with the fans booing the team but targetting a player is too much.

I only dropped in to see how things were going in the Post-Ange era… and, right on cue, the oldest tune in football starts playing: “the coach is out of his depth.”

It’s a comforting story, but not a truthful one.

The coach is rarely the problem. What undoes teams like Spurs, Chelsea, Everton — take your pick — isn’t a lack of tactical IQ; it’s a lack of structural patience. You can’t change direction every 18 months and expect continuity. You can’t hire for one philosophy, sack it mid-cycle, and then complain the new one doesn’t “fit.”

Every manager inherits half a squad built for someone else, with a fanbase that’s been emotionally reset to zero. It’s not that they’re out of their depth — it’s that they’re swimming in a pool that keeps being drained and refilled.

Modern football’s biggest illusion is that “the right manager” can outthink instability. The truth is, even the best drown when the environment won’t hold.

And with Ange? They had someone who did have a plan. Maybe not perfect, maybe rough around the edges — but a clear, brave identity that needed time.. got a trophy- and was soley focused on that with all the injuries...

They fucked it with Ange.
Anyone can see that.
Absolutely crazy not to continue that path, to at least give him this time period to continue the journey. The last, and final absolutely huge blunder from Leby before he left?

Never seen a player get such a huge backing from the players once he was sacked. Do believe any manager coming in would be struggle in the wake of it all - but Frank is absolutely making his own coffin right now with these negative tactics and negative takes in his conferences.
