Nuno is a good coach. Got treated like shit by the fans here because of the way he played so got no time. To some it's crazy as I thought it was to carry on supporting the previous manager. Imo the squad needs ripping up and starting again.

He’s a good coach for a small club looking to counter-punch. Not for a club looking to build something significant. There are plenty of good managers out there who should not be considered potential Spurs managers.

Nuno was sacked because at that time the Spurs players and supporters did not believe he was good enough and wanted a higher profile manager.

Conte was the man they had wanted but the then chairman originally thought otherwise.

We helped him change his mind.

The reason Spurs are in this mess is because we were too tolerent of the previous chairman for too long.

The damage he has done to this football club is now so serious we are in a relegation battle.

Many have not seen this coming.

Some of us predicted it years ago and have had to sit, listen and accept all the excuses offered on behalf of the previous chairman; who is now one of the 250 richest people in Britain after 24 years of being THFC chairman.

The Tuesday fog on the Tyne is all his.

The club bought Simons for 70M. He’s not world beater, but what does it say when you don’t play him ? It means he’s not your type of a player, Frank doesnmt know how to get the best out of creative players. The only creation he knows is crosses from the both sides.

I know it’s painful situation. But next match is Newcastle away and it’s gonna be another loss. How patient we should be?

The thing with Ange was - we were shit at the back, sometimes we were shit attacking wise, but you had something to cling on, that little bit of attacking play that was beautiful at moments. I don’t have anything with Frank. Diabolical set-pieces from our own half or Danso long throws - I’m sorry , that doesn’t work with me.

It's simply on Frank to be presiding over better than what we are seeing.

All these narratives about the squad not being great are bullsh!t. Who said we had a great squad? We have the quality if players not to he losing to Fulham and Bournemouth on our home turf. The one thing the squad does lack is a leader or a player who inspires. That is without doubt.

What we are seeing, less against the best teams but more generally will lead us nowhere. After yesterday that is sadky clear.

This is not about blame as opposed to what is the best solution. I think that may be forced on the owners by next weekend, unless Santa delivers an early surprise present to us on Tuesday and Newcastle take pity - no chance in other words.

And then on the weekend the Brentford will want to show Frank they have moved on.

Disclaimer: No, I don't want him replaced right now. I think he can still turn things around, even though I would gladly admit that this is just a gut feeling that no one is obligated to share.

Are those who are playing this game of But who's going to replace him?? even sincere with it? Because all I can see is a disingenious Gotcha! attempt that preys on the fact that most people here are not football junkies keeping track on hundreds of managers and their teams.

Again, this doesn't happen with players or any other personnel of the club: People simply want Vicario out as we speak for example, without pondering on who would replace him. People want(ed) Levy, Paratici, Lange out. But managers are different apparently.

That doesn't mean they're dying for Wells or Cochrane to finish the season by the way:Another disingenuous fallacy. We're only 1/3 into the season, if Frank were to leave tomorrow it would be quite possible to appoint another actual manager.

All of these are moot points anyway, as even if they suggest names they are getting met with:
  • LOL are you suggesting that flavour of the month?? He just did x.
  • He would never come here, forget it.
  • He lost his first 20 games in his most recent club, so you would be asking for his head in no time as well.
etc.
When it’s as toxic as it was yesterday very rarely does a manager turn it around. Thomas saying that the ones that booed can’t be real fans is going to come back and bite him. By the time we play Liverpool this could look a million times worse? What do we do then? Just keep him and hope it turns. Not for me,change it now and keep trying till we get where we need to be.

70M?

He was bought for 51.8 million

I read somewhere that Frank was allowed to bring a shitload of his backroom staff with him.
Another pathetic decision that just makes the inevitable more complicated and more costly.

What? That's literally what every manager does?

Your footy knowledge is actually in the bin, when people were saying it I didn't take much notice but it's actually pitiful :harrylol:

Anges biggest defenders keep insisting we lost 22 league games last season because we binned it off on purpose.

Some winners mentality.
I'm not defending Ange. I don't care about him. I'm simply making the point that he is a better manager than Frank. Objectively, he has a winner's mentality. We won a major trophy under him for the first time since Noah was a child.. Frank has a timid, loser's, mentality and it has permeated the team's mentality on the pitch.

I can see where he is coming from, booing a player isn't smart. Should have kept it to himself though, it's a pain in the arse to get to the stadium at the best of times, and getting home is worse. To say that those who made the effort on a Saturday night with our home record aren't real fans is not smart either.

Sorry you don't throw away an entire league season and say losing league match after league match for months on end doesn't matter then say he's got a winners mentality. It doesn't add up.

Mate I travel 7 and half hours to get to the ground and obviously the same back and do that on the same day sometimes. I wouldn’t boo a player ever but I don’t want the manager telling me I can’t if I did.
To be fair he will be regretting saying it today.

Not a chance. I’m not having the squad is utter shite either. You look at most teams in the league and ours is better so that argument doesn’t work for me. I think the players have a shit mentality and that’s where a lot of the issues lie. It doesn’t look like they care enough. Only Micky for me gives absolutely everything every game. Very rarely does he not play well. We don’t have enough of those types.
