Our players further up the pitch can't hold onto the ball, so our defence is under an almost constant battering. How are we conceding more with fit defenders and substantially more negative football![]()

The opposition just double up on Kudus so he's in a cul-de-sac and we have nothing on the left. Odobert doesn't offer much, RKM tries to run the ball into the goal because there's nothing on to pass to or build on. We just can't knock the ball about enough in the opposing half of the pitch. The ball keeps coming back at us, also we keep passing the ball backwards and inviting pressure onto the defence, we spend far too much time playing in our own half.Odobert, RKM, Kudus are actually better at holding bro the ball than Son, Richarlison and Johnson/Kulusevski.
Our problem is our plodding midfield of death is a No Football zone, so the forwards rarely see the ball.

Imo i think frank will be given the season. Was hired to stabilize the ship after us finishing 17th last season. I like Frank as a person and hes a nice guy but I cant see him being with us long term. Dont think hes ruthless enough or has it to win trophies. Im hoping poch will come back next season for unfinished business and hes backed to hilt like legohead.
I do think the board will be really reluctant to sack him, though. I think if we plod along in mid-table playing shite but picking up just enough wins he'll hang on, simply cos there's no decent/willing replacement available. Plus sacking Frank makes the board look like dickheads, while also sending a message to future managers they won't be given time at Spurs. They'll want to give him the season but the reality is mate if we keep losing at home he'll be sacked.

Think it'll probably take us seriously lurching towards relegation for them to give him the boot (which sadly, isn't that unlikely given our current form).
Yeah, although weirdly I think clubs are actually being more patient with shite performances from managers than ever. I can't ever recall 'top' clubs holding onto such a horrendously underperforming managers before like us and United did last season. I suppose the Europa played a key role in that, but I still think in previous years both would've been fucked off much earlier.Yeah I don't disagree but the home atmosphere is becoming more and more toxic.
If he starts picking up a few home wins in the next few weeks it will ease all pressure.
If we lose Saturday it will be horrendous. The point at Newcastle eased a little pressure until Saturday but that's all it was.
Cant keep expecting people to fork out high ticket prices watching defeat after defeat playing dull football.

Think in this age of directors of football, 'projects' and Woolwich doing well by sticking with Arteta, there's less appetite for managerial churn among the top teams. And the current manager market is also pretty awful, which certainly also plays a big part. If there was a Conte equivalent lurking then I think Frank's position would be in much more danger. As things stand, all the options look either questionable/bad or unlikely to join us.
We are lurching towards relegation. Next few home games are Brentford, then Liverpool followed by Sunderland and six pointer vs West Ham. Need two wins or we will be in big shit come Feb, which is a horror monthI do think the board will be really reluctant to sack him, though. Lose and it will be toxicWhen all of you fucking come to terms with the reality that the deeply flawed Postecoglou actually overachieved with this squad you'll understand
A) why Frank hasn't immediately made us playing clear Top 5 quality football
And
B) why he should be given time to show that he can improve the squad and our fortunes
If you want to blame anyone blame the fuckwits who promised you that everything that was wrong with our club was the last manager. They sold you a fucking lie
But their lies shouldn't be held against Frank
(Unless we genuinely get dragged into a relegation battle)
Win Saturday and get the home crowd back onside and things will very quickly start to feel better
Yeah - if we don't improve, keep losing and end up 16th/17th without any signs of life (basically last season's form) then they might have to pull the trigger to shake things up and get us a new manager bounce. We are lurching towards relegation.
