Do think with Frank hes trying to win over respect of some of top players. Hes starting to win the battle imo. Also think we had a hangover from Anges antics last season.
It's at least encouraging to see his adaptability. A few weeks ago many of us (myself included) were moaning about how unadaptable he was being by persisting with that shitty pivot, being overly defensive most games, lumping the ball long too much, etc. It felt like we'd been sold on the idea of this adaptable manager and ended up with a purely defensive guy whose only flexibility was in how he'd set up to nullify the opposition.
Now we're getting a glimpse of the positive side of Frank - the fact he's not wedded to one way of playing and will search for (relatively) progressive solutions.
Lots more improvement needed, particularly against better teams in the league, but I feel a lot more optimistic than I did a couple of weeks ago.
Fucking quiet in here and in the match thread given we've just gone back to back wins in the Champions League for a 7-0 goal aggregate.
This is nice run. Sure oppo hasn't been the strongest but you can only beat who is in front you. This is nice COYS!
Fuck those results. Dross. Amount of time you see terribly out of form prem teams go to these nothing sides in Europe and win by a few. We slapped Copenhagen about before being punched back in to reality by Prem teams.
The Brentford result is much more encouraging to me - controlled a game against a pretty dangerous premier league side. Need to see more of that. The euro fodder gonna fodder.
And this is exactly what has happened. Frank has some momentum for the first time since August. The balance of the team is starting to look right. Archie Gray just looks a natural in midfield and we are finally getting a tune out of Xavi Simons. It just looks right atm. We've a tough run ahead, the next four games (forest, palace, brentford away and liverpool home) are all all winnable and losable. Nearly 50/50 games all 4 of them. I think if we were to get 7 or more from that run then it would be very impressive! Frank has momentum right now so hopefully it continuesThe game on Saturday is huge. I said this last week about the Fulham game and it really couldn't have gone any worse. I think the Fulham game was the turning point where most fans realised that Frank probably isn't the right man and its only a matter of time before we move on. However, the Brentford game on Saturday might well be the nail in the coffin. The embarrassment of losing at home to his former club would be too much for anyone to tolerate. I think even Frank would be questioning himself if that happened.
Football is a funny game too. A win at home to Brentford followed by what should be a routine win at home to Slavia Prague then all of a sudden Frank and spurs have some momentum for the first time in weeks. There is still a chance that Frank can turn this around but it needs to start with a win this weekend!
4 is reasonable to hope for..I think we'll win comfortably on Saturday, draw with the dippers and most likely lose to palace...I haven't.
We gave up a few cheap chances last night.
A better (Prem) side would have scored at least two goals from the opportunities Slavia wasted.
How many points should we expect from the 3 games against Forest, Liverpool and Palace?
As a spurs supporter, your're officially allowed 6 per season
The media 1,000,000% loved Ange. He’s the most loved media manager in my lifetime supporting spurs by far.Absolutely not, the media hated Ange, and love Frank.
The vast majority of the criticism Frank has rightfully received for the insipid home performances has come from within the fanbase.
Two girlfriends? Three?
They loved him until they didn't. The love-fest in the media after the first 10 games was unlike anything I've seen for a Spurs manager - I don't think even peak-Poch got that level of adoration. The media 1,000,000% loved Ange. a good problem to have while u can deal with it!
Harry Redknapp, pretty easily too.The media 1,000,000% loved Ange. He’s the most loved media manager in my lifetime supporting spurs by far.

They loved him even more once they saw he was a bit of a dick, easy job for them to wind him up and watch the sound bytes flow...

Good on Frank.
Seems to have galvanised the troops.
Needs to continue the run against Forest.
Nice.
We need to beat them for us.
We need to beat them because of Mad Marinakis and MGW. Be nice if Xavi is the one to do the damage.
We need to beat them and tell them it was because of Ange.
Yeah, but we all really want to stick it to the gobby Forest lot.Don't know about all of that.
What I do think is that a 3-game unbeaten run, literally out of nowhere is as welcome as it has been surprising.
And it has seen players grow in confidence a little, which tends to go hand in hand.
The first line for all good teams, especially on their travels is to be difficult to break down, and then to see if they can grab the 3 points.
A win would be fantastic but coming away from the City ground with at least the point we arrived with is fine in my opinion. The fact a number of their players will play this evening is also in our favour.
If we are composed, avoid the mistakes, we can definitely hurt Forest.
It will be interesting to see if Frank plays/starts with Johnson, who suddenly is seemingly in the shop window.
Yeah, but we all really want to stick it to the gobby Forest lot.
Ideally someone smashes a ball into the directors box and makes the fat criminal drop his ice cream on his white t shirt.
