We’re sleepwalking into becoming an Everton.

And that’s with all respect to Everton. Big team but are just been around to make up the numbers for the last 10 years.

Why not? A cup win doesn't negate the past season and a half now of utter shit. Even during our Europa run we barely played well. We were bang average against bang average sides. We've won 4 league games at home all year. Four. They got over the line yes, but this isn't a squad of winners. They've shown time and time and time again that they don't have the bollocks for a fight.

The Europa run looks more and more like a one off and they've reverted to the terrible mean.

I agree with most of what you're saying. I just don't think Frank is doing well enough regardless.

Seasons over already. There's absolutely zero chance this team either beats Villa in the cup or does anything of note in the Champions League. Nor are we qualifying for Europe via the league. Seasons over.

Plus we've got sit there and watch those fuckers win the league. Depressing times.
Plus not being in Europe will mean less income and an excuse not to invest and streamline because will only play 40 meaningful matches next season.

If we get hammered by Liverpool I'd say he's gone

Feels like Amorim where he’ll scam a point somewhere, to keep it ticking.
Not sure mate, our home form is almost relegation standard.
Liverpool will win quite easily imo, I think the pressure ramps up.
For a pragmatic manager, his team is far too easily played through.
What has happened to all these highly rated coaches that he brought in, i can't see what they have brought to the team.

I think we're already there. This is 6.5 years of dross now and apart from 3 months under Conte its been mid table stuff at best. Often a lot worse. All our stars have gone, just a bunch of mediocre players in a mediocre team with a high turnover of poor or ill thought out managerial choices, hoping we stumble on something.

Not even Frank himself believes that he will succeed here, body language and the things he's saying in the press all wrong, almost as if he's already looking for the 'smoothest' way out. The job has proven to be WAY too big for him. Nothing personal, but the sooner he will be gone the better.

I want us to give a manager a two or three year run, but it’s quite simple - he’s not the guy.
I’m in the exact same boat.

We need to give a manager the time, but you need to see signs that something is worth giving time for. Arteta is an example.. he had a struggle initially but you could see signs of what he was trying to achieve. Frank doesn’t seem to be learning from mistakes, and is not willing to budge.

I don’t know who I want.

Xavi - only seen him at Barca with a stacked team. Making the right noise about wanting a project.

Glasner - probably who I want the most, but I think he can have his pick of teams.

Iraola - I like him but I think his football isn’t made for 3 games a week. Would need a big squad of top players to play that way.

Poch - I’m just worried he isn’t the same Poch. Love the guy and everything he did for us, but it was 6 years ago.

Silva - I’m not sure. Doesn’t sit right with me but he’s a decent manager.
