Seen loads of people talk about the start of last season when we were on the brink of top 4 after 10ish games. Had v.good underlying numbers and smashed Everton, United, West Ham (think maybe Villa too?). Had a few shockers thrown in there like Palace, Ipswich and Leicester but the revisionist claim is if we'd kept the squad fit that's the form we were capable of under Ange.
We only won one of our first 4 games.
We threw a few batterings in between plenty of dire results. 1-1 away to Leicester, lost to Newcastle and Arse without ever threatening them, lost to Brighton, Palace and Ipswich.
All by game week 11.

We just continued the useless fcuking shite we'd rolled out since Christmas 2023.
Found out at PL level absolutely ages before then.

The occasional whooping of teams really did nothing to hide it IMO. There were just some, select teams/games where the 1 game plan we had, worked.

I am firmly in the out camp so I know I am biased but all of his press conferences are just so uninspiring and small time. He hasn't got aura and force of personality to manage a top 8 team.
He's Brentfords version of Graham Potter, will do well in one of those brilliantly run clubs that have lower expectations but take them outside of that and all their faults are magnified.

Honestly Frank is sounding like an idiot.

Backing Vicario who made a fucking horrendous mistake the other week, saying it was just one of those things. and hanging Archie out to dry saying it was a one touch pass when it's quite clearly been shown that Vicario's bobbled pass to Gray's left foot meant he couldn't play it first time

Frank really is not endearing himself to the fans with shit like this.

I kind of agree except, if he sees Vicario as his number one by a distance he has to back him publicly. Even if is doesn’t fully believe it. Damned if you do, damned if you dont

Really weird for Frank to have a dig at Ange and last season's team. Maybe he was just trying to be funny but he's asking that to come back and bite him.

If we get slapped about tomorrow, people are going to throw that back in his face

Theres always the context point, quotes from pressers are often very different in context to the sounbites...

That said, on tbe face of it - looks like thepressure is getting to him imo, not a good look when the managers starts on last season results...

Blue (For), Under the Red (Against) - sharply diverging - heading below the 50% - that'd be a collapse in motion. Beginning of Ange's 2nd season looks like a deadcat bounce and now we're in freefall. Conte looks good. Would love to see Poch's also. Frank is quite possibly the worst guy you could have hired to alter the trend. 5 year All Time Low ((For)....... Trend continuation and Championship here we come.

From memory of seeing Poch’s, it looked like Ange’s 23/24 but obviously for a longer period until things tailed off in his last season.

I’m not really a XG person but I like looking at the long term evidence as you can see the precise moments it went wrong in all examples. For Poch it changed the day v Burnley away when we lost and Mike Dean said something to wind him up.

Changed way before that in that season, we were losing the xg battle all season, even the matches we were winning earlier in the season and if you recall we were scraping results and being bailed out by individual brilliance, our performers got worse and worse as our players got tired and suffered burn out.

I think at one stage we were 2 3 plint behind Liverpool in Feb but our xg had us firmly mid table.

Even Airfixx and Sudoku aren't happy

These are the end days for sure

I think he's pretty clumsy with his words and can be very awkward. Kind of dude who easily fumbles the hottest girl in the bar by talking about his hobbies and his collection of DC comics
