ENIC should feel at peace making the change. This guy is Levy's hire and they did not pick him to begin with. You got rid of Levy and some of his people at all levels. If there is a realistic option out there, make the change.

Like I said in the match thread we played against a team with one of the best home records in the whole league without
Udogie
Maddison
Kulusevski
Solanke
Bergvall
Sarr
Xavi

And Johnson has just been sold. We have little to no attacking threat so being conservative and building on a point was what he went for and achieved. I don't really get what people realistically want? We don't have the personnel to do anything else?? Do people not get this???

💯 agree.

But check out the starting 11 that beat Brentford 0-2 and ask yourself - why are you getting angry at people for being angry with tonight when you were apoplectic with the manager who won that game with a much much weaker side than we put out tonight?

It's just astounding how the same people who made everyone's life a misery last year over the manager are now angry with people slagging the new manager who is getting worse results?

why can't people be consistent any more?

I would understand this sentiment if this was a one off game but most games look like this. He's just way too cautious for this to ever work out.

If they are really working hard on attacking play and it still looks like that then that’s worse tbh.
It means that he doesn’t know how to fix it, or his system just isn’t working offensively,

If he was saying that they are just focused on defending for now, that would be better.

Well he's clearly fucked Johnson off so scratch that. Do you seriously think improves if/when these plates ever return from their deathbeds? I highly doubt it. Frank has zero identity to his play, bland bland fucking bland. Boring as fuck.

We are outplayed and out thought in every game, which is what he was sold as being the opposite of. There is absolutely nothing going forward. There is no plan, patterns, cohesion, fluidity, movement. It's too predictable, ponderous and just outright shit. It's embarrassing to watch. Nobody knows what to do.

The alarm bells have been there for a while. A team with less points than a fucking triangle came to our place and outplayed us, I can't remember the last time we played well in the league. We are just drifting again, and it doesn't seem the manager seems to have a way out.

Not that the squad is helping him, they're not absolved of blame in the slightest either. But things like vicario getting booked for timewasting tonight, that is by design. It's an instruction. That's fucking pathetic, away to Brentford on 60 mins running the clock down at 0-0. Embarrassing

That's who we are now....

How many managers have we had in the last 6 years since Poch left

At least Maresca is a winner, his teams are attractive to watch and attacking.
8 managers in less than 6 years. The lifespan of a Spurs manager is unbelievably short at around 0,75 years.

We might as well just rotate a cardboard cutout at this point… until the fans start calling for its sacking.

I think the argument would carry more weight if we hadn't looked equally toothless and uninspiring when most of those players were available. The only 3 that really make a case for are the injured trio: Kulu, Maddison and Solanke. All of our worst performances have featured some combination of the others.

Those 3 are certainly a big loss, but it's clearly not just a 'lack of personnel available' thing imo.

How can he say that?

That would mean he's basically openly admitting he thinks all our attacking players are shit. No manager would ever do that.

It's not always the latter that does the heavy lifting in what seems to be a mutualistic relationship between a club and its manager, even though that seems to be the default assumption whenever football fans see a club punch above its weight.

We've seen this with Potter and Brighton already: I have a sense that the former misses the latter way more than the other way around.

Too early to tell, but I don't think it will be any different when it comes to the highly similar former relationship between Frank and Brentford: Still on pace for 54 points with a complete newbie at the helm, where their best under Frank was 59, playing the kind of football that you cannot tell from how Frank's new team is playing.

By itself, Brentford not skipping a beat wouldn't be something to hold it against him; after all, he no longer has any control over how they do. But it, combined with other corroborating evidence, raises even bigger doubts regarding his suitability for the job.

"The whole team did excellently".

Thomas Frank. After an atrocious performance vs Brentford where we honestly deserved a negative xG and 12pts docked for crime against football.

Fuck that cunt. Never was Tottenham, never will be.

Give it to the kitman, gardener or tea lady til end of the season.
