If you're competing for a manager with Utd, Chelsea, maybe Liverpool i'm not sure its going to help the case in the boards mind for sacking him now. Even worse if they just appoint temps as every decent manager will be waiting on them.

Yeah the board won't sack Frank until shit gets really bad. They'll still be hoping he pulls it around somehow I reckon.
I think the fact he's unlikeable, the football's shit and we don't have any realistic cups we can win, mean he'll get much less leeway from the fans than Ange did, though. Ange basically got a magical forcefield cos he talked a good game, we were in Europa and there was the lingering dream of replicating the form of his first 10 games once the players came back.
Frank's got none of that so if we lose 5 in a row it's gonna be utterly toxic.
Re West HamCarrick - he can go down with them as a coach after doing so as a player.

Im going to miss it when Frank gets sackedThat account is about the only positive thing that has happened this season.
this is what worries me. we don't know the full picture behind the scenes and how bad it possibly is. how competent are the lewis kids? we just don't know and it's definitely a possibility that they're utterly lost and the club is about to drop off a cliff. just on the surface, it looks like utter disarray from the top down.I think the fact the board/hierachy are in such disarray is the only reason he hasnt gone yet.
There are no underlying KPIs to suggest progress, or that he is worth persevering with.
He's so far got a stay of execution because Venai still doesnt know where his office is, we only just confirmed our DoF joint set up - with one of them immediately leaving - and we're still trying to appoint senior figures.
Basically, the club isnt organised enough at this point to conduct the process of getting in a new manager right now - hence Frank is riding it out.
I think the fans turning might force them into action, otherwise theyll be too distracted with sorting their own shit out before worrying about the football side of things.
What we really need is for a vision to be set. This is our ethos, this is our plan, these are the people who we believe can achieve it.... This is the new DoF (or DoF remit) which means we're buying players to suit a certain style, this is the new manager - who fits said style....
Simply noone in place right now who can do that, IMO
12 points off United too. Yikes.
Still at least its not the 90s. Great set of players this, just waiting to fulfill their potential.

so - you're a top achieving manager - and Spurs come callingwe need to wait till the United and Chelscum managers have been resolved. Then target our choice and sack Frank. He aint good enough
We should have kept Ange thoughBear in mind that 27 of those points are the 20 games from this season - that leaves 19 from 26 last season (0.73 ppg), which is a lower PPG than Wolves have there!

26 of those 46 games were Ange, not Frank.I keep saying the players have normalised losing, well I think I have too. It's just become the norm now to shrug and move onto the next game. They've destroyed this fanbase.
Theres a week between Villa and the following gameI think he'll be sacked after Bournemouth beat us and Villa knock us out of the cup.
Xhaka has awareness of what’s around him. He knows his next pass before he gets the ball. Ours don’t have a clue.Re: The part inadequate midfield personnel plays in lack of progressive passing
Xhaka again, pulling a nice half turn and a pass to allow his team to break through. Sometimes that's the entire difference between getting out in transition versus the ball finding its way back to the keeper in no time.
Meanwhile, that's how someone like Palhinha half turns
------Here, I discussed in detail why Porro was justified in not making that pass to Palhinha or Bentancur. Not going to go over that again.
But it's illustrative in that you can see the kind of avenues that a progressive passer or two could open up for us.
This for example would've been a simple breakthrough, similar to Sunderland's above, with VDV bursting forward with the ball. Instead it's a long kick by Vicario.
