I said a week or so ago, and stand by it, what are coaches doing in training? Cause it feels to me that they're not working on basics. First touches are awful. Passes are constantly wayward. Decision making is embarrassing.
Surely this is all stuff that can be sorted in training. If a player has a poor touch, pull him to one side, and spend the next week hammering balls at him until muscle memory kicks in.
If a player is under hitting passes, spend a day making him make the same pass over and over until he does it with his eyes closed.
I think Mourinho and Conte did this. Their problem was only about 60% of the players were willing to do it.
More scary is that I’m not sure he’ll get those points.

Yep. I’m surprised with how shit we’ve maintained it. Same players he’s dealing with though, I just can’t get beyond that. However, he should be coaching this lot to win some of these games. 2 wins in 12 is Ange territory. One constant though isn’t there.
