Yep, I've majorly blamed the players for a long time and it is still partly on them.Spot on. If anything that 2nd half is even more detrimental to Frank because it shows what this squad is capable of, but he isn't unlocking it at all.
There are clearly more gears in the squad that like you say are not being tapped into. Why only play like that when we are 2 nil down? why not start the game like that? It's all on the manager.
The tactics, the style of play, it's fucking shit. Results and performances appalling.
It's Frank.
He just put Odobert close to Xavi in the middle and right wing was Porro's only. And suddenly we were able to make some quick short passes in the middle so Villa had to sit back a little.I'd love to know what was said at HT. The team have been shit for months with no cohesion. Frank has a glimmer of a chance to take advantage of that 2nd half and take the handbrake off permanently.
If that was the case, how did he get that second half out of them after his team-talk at halftime?
I'm not against criticism, but don't be disingenuous.
Yeah I spotted that, he seemed to either disagree or moved stuff that was a more sensible idea
Sorry but that is an insult to Arteta. He's levels above Frank.

Best case scenario imo is Frank told them to go chaos tempo because he’s given up trying to get them to play his controlled, analytical way.
My breaking point was Fulham. That was much earlier in a manager's tenure than I would normally lose faith. It was the lack of courage and lack of a discernible ethos that convinced me then. We can, and must, have someone better.
That’s up to the players then isn’t it?
They need to show some fucking guts and desire all the time but they don’t want to. I’ve been banging on for weeks, their attitudes are fucking shocking. The manager isn’t telling them to go out there and not attack, that’s bollocks. He might not be able to set up the team to, which is different. I still think it’s attitude. Guess we’ll have to wait and see if they do it to the third manager in a row.
There’s no plan is there. Going forward we just look like it’s all off the cuff. Villa know where all their players are all the time and the system is the key. We are nothing like that.
People who follow these accounts are actually dumb tbh
This group of players have largely had two managers, Ange and Frank and they are both fucking shite.
We need to hire the right manager. Just look at the same players under Gerrard and Emery
If you think about it though, if that's right, his solution is "play a way I can't coach/direct"
There's no version of how that second half happened that looks good for him
