I can't be a hypocrite. When it was decided that he was the chosen one, I did get on board.. I was sad that we appeared to no longer have the pull to be in the conversation for coaches on the level of a Conte or Nagelsmann anymore. But in comparison to the other candidates (let's be honest it wasn't the most gilded of lists), I thought he was amongst the most interesting. I thought anybody who's been able to make Brentford a mainstay in the Premier League has to at least have something about him (which he may well do in a different context). And lets hope that he can upscale that to us.

Obviously that turned out to be very wrong.. There were some worrys quite early on.. But the first real disaster moment of "oh this might be a terminal mistake", was the Chelsea game

All week he gave the build up that our approach is for sure going to be one that gets the crowd of their seats.. He was adamant about it..

And then from kick off.. We sit in a low block.. And we play it long a couple times.. And then you realise. "Oh dear. Does he think that winning a few early knock ons and getting some early set pieces is what gets the crowd going here?" Because that may be the case at Brentford.. But it's just never going to be the case here.

So... looking at results today, our results over the last months, and our fixtures coming up I have to conclude that we are, now, officially in a relegation fight and, therefore, will be changing my vote to OUT.

Why do people insist he’s a nice guy? I find him to be quite inhuman.

This sums him up in a way that I’ve been struggling to.

Data is needed but it should never become the main character.

It’s almost the opposite of the players we have bought. Second half against Villa in the cup Tel, Xavi and Odobert clearly where let of the leash. They where linking, creating chances and we where the better side and should really have gone on and won. Mostly they can’t do that because they have to remain in shape and static due to our tactics. We are playing to their weaknesses not their strengths.

We are not a squad of old heads and fighters. We are mostly unrefined ballers like Odobert, Tel, Xavi. Even Gallagher is a chaos player, he isn’t Norgaard.
