The pieces are certainly moving into place to make things look that way.

It feels like whatever the club do next about the manager situation will be a big risk. if it is Heitinga who takes over from Frank when he's sacked, there's no reason to think he'll be any better, except that he's been a professional footballer himself and may find it easier to relate to the players.
Would Heitinga be worse than Frank ?

I fucking doubt it to be honest

We were told in the summer that Frank was a great coach. Fucking hopeless. Get someone in who instantly gains respect first and coach from there. Players need an environment which they enjoy and this lot obviously aren’t. It’s fine lines in football and a new face who they look up to can take these players up 30/40%. There’s ability there but they are fragile confidence wise and need to play for someone who is not risk free.
I dislike this team so much but I feel there is so much more in them that we are not going to see under this manager. It has to end tomorrow or come the 23rd of February we will be 2 wins in 18 and in a relegation battle.

100pc
I am convinced our team is levels above where they are performing under this guy. We see flashes of it. Dortmund first half. Villa second half.

One other "since" got 5th in first season then won a European Trophy and made semi-finals of a domestic cup in his second season - despite an unprecedented injury crisis.

I'm glad that guy got the job.

I warned you that getting rid of him wasn't going to magically make us "fly up the ladder" like you promised. I was proved right. you were proved wrong.

Want to apologise to all the people you bullied last season?

Forest and our slide in the league last season makes me think Ange would be even worse than Frank.

I really don't know, apparently he recently got sacked from Ajax pretty sharpish, but when he was interim manager there at a previous time he did quite well. Kudus played for Ajax when he was interim manager and said he was the best manager he had there.

I have no idea if he's a better manager than Frank. Maybe he is but it's still a risk, but then sticking with Frank is a risk, that's all I meant.

I've been Frank IN until today when it became clear that we are being dragged into a relegation battle. I don't believe that would have happened under Ange Postecoglou - even though I agreed (and still agree) he had to be sacked. His record with a fit Back 5 was Top 5. We've had that Back 5 most of this season.

Either way that's not the point - the promise the Derangers made while bullying anyone who supported the last manager was that the next manager would have us "flying up the table". Some of us warned this was unlikely given the state of our squad.

Some of us were right. The bullies and abusers were wrong. They still are yet to admit that. Or apologise. Or show any sort of recognition that their entire belief system has been utterly shown as completely fraudulent.

So forgive me if I take their chunterings with a massive fucking grain of salt.

Well time for bed, would be nice If I wake up to a club statement of his sacking but I know that's not happening. Since he's their ride or die for some reason.

If only Poch got this kinda backing instead of being sacked for being 14th in November rather than 14th in Feb

Don’t think anyone should be apologising for anything. Opinions are just that and can be wrong. Don’t think anyone need say sorry for having an opinion and as we care about this club, we may sometimes go over the top a bit. Part of the rough and tumble of the forum.

Nothing wrong with having an opinion but when you bully and abuse OTHER people for simply supporting the current manager of Spurs that's out of order.

Then when that manager wins a major trophy and these people dismiss and diminish that trophy - that also is out of order.

And then when we get a new manager in and everything gets WORSE despite the lofty assertions of said bullies...

That's when apologies are absolutely in order.

But no one is holding their breath

The problem is the club have hired a manager that is as bad or even worse than Postecoglou.

I didn't bully anyone last season but I do think if the club hired a quality manager we'd be easily in the top half of the league table.

It's obvious now that our club and some supporters have mistaken the good performances of Brentford as a relatively small club as being due to Frank's management skills, when actually it seems like they have a very good DOF who has a keen eye for talent, and Keith Andrews is showing us all that even a novice first team manager can do well with their set-up.

Ach, emotions run high when it comes to football. I try not to take it personally, as a lot will have a different personality on here than they do in real life. However, if you feel personally got at, then it’s fair to expect apologies from the other side I suppose.

There hasn't been any reports on his future from any half credible journalists since full time, has it? Should've heard something about it by now I feel. We're probably stuck him for a while still. It's genuinely self sabotage by the useless cunts in our board.

I mean, obviously 😁

I'd rather it was DEAD more than At Risk

I think everyone is just so bored of this shit now....

Boring as shit if he stays, and too bored to care if he goes right now...

Wake me up when it's all over!

Maybe. I'll go with what I've been saying since Kane left - even the best chefs can't cook with inferior ingredients.

This is why I always maintained that Postecoglou was, in fact, OVERACHIEVING in his time here. Not because he's a genius but simply because he played a crazy brand and made his players BELIEVE.

Frank is a very competent manager. But he can't inspire. We need much better ingredients...

Can't keep losing world class players and expect any manager to cook.

Mate I don't feel personally got at - it's the people who were chased off the forum I feel bad for.

I'm thicker skinned. But I'm not going to let those bullies get away with it. They know who they are.

The board are behaving negligently now.

So stubborn and won't accept they've made the wrong decision over Frank.

The active decision to keep him on is to the detriment of the Club.

You have to ask are they fit and proper to be making these decisions now?

The fans are the Club, and every single one of us wants him gone
The board don't care.
ENIC are too scared to sack him because it'll look bad that yet another managerial decision has gone wrong. And yet the irony is that by not sacking him they have made a worse decision which proves their incompetence even more so.

The board and ownership have always been the problem. Levy was the face of it for 25 years. But he wasn't the only one pulling the strings.

The puppeteer is still there pulling the strings.

Despite all this I think they will sack him based on the next few PL fixtures coming up. Whether he gets the eintracht game I'm not sure.

I didn't enjoy Postecoglou's Spurs but the crazy brand that made his players believe that you mention, was dropped in the knockout stages of the Europa League, and according to VdV he and Romero were tasked with implementing their own ideas for the tactics and ensuring the other players knew how to apply them, effectively doing Postecoglou's job whist he stood on the side-lines with his hands in his pockets.

Maybe VdV made all that up for a bit of fun, IDK, but the tactics certainly weren't the recognisable Postecoglou charge that left the team 17th in the Premier League.

As I said in my previous post, Franks Spurs isn't any better and possibly worse.

My guess is any Premier League manager could do pretty well with Brentford, it's a well run club and the scouts/DOF have a good eye for talent, there's little pressure. Frank has never played professional football and came up to be Brentford manager from being the assistant IIRC, the players already knew him, and for the new players he's already there.

When he came to Spurs he was a no-mark who won a play-off final. Actually neither Frank or Lange have played professional football, from top down at the cub the first person who played professional football is Heitinga.

They could bin him, blame Levy and come away with a clean rep & fresh start............

They choose not to.

The idea that they flat out don't care is flawed...... Relegation would knock 100's of million off the value of the club. They'd care about that.

I reckon their true desire is to sell; thus wanna fork out as little as poss in the meantime and are prepared to gamble on survival.
