I suppose it more that he played to win, while Frank seems to play not to lose.
I loved the first 10. I genuinely thought it was going somewhere, don't get me wrong. When he was first appointed and there was grumbling on here I was one of the few saying he should be given a crack when others wrote him off before even a ball was kicked. Same with Frank. Thought he could do something.
But it's like Ange being restrained by his own players from giving our own fans aggro has been forgotten, of the regular chorus of boos last season. People are now acting like the booing is new just for Frank.
There's a shit load of revisionism going on right now making out we've sacked off a winners mentality for a losers one, when last season losing week in week out had become accepted. Playing high possession but low xG football is now "exciting" when it got booed off the park frequently last season.
I just wished we could stop the whole zombie Ange Vs Frank debate because it's repetitive and been done to death on here. Neither have stood up to the standard we need. More crucially the real culprits, our board, aren't getting any attention. They're the ones who should be booed out of the stadium.
That's because everyone was actively trying to improve their first team for years whilst we were going nearly 600 days without signing a player, and then when we did. The likes of the N'jee / Nkuku etc etc bargain basement crap.
The reluctance to not overspend, and to keep the wages low has absolutely crippled this club.
Kane and Son are gone, it's time to release we need a manager with a proper system, who can install belief into young players and build around it.

I think what the club got for Johnson was about what it paid for Gallagher, So it's spent £13m on Souza. So the £100m is now about £87m but surely there's also the usual January transfer fund whatever that might be, last January Kinsky and Min-Hyeok were signed IIRC. I think Min-Hyeok was about £3m and Kinsky about £12m, and then there would have been the loan fees for Danso and Tel.
So we should have more than just the £100m injected money anyway for this transfer window.
Even now, as we look upon the smouldering ashes of our 25/26 season, the same gaslighting vicious bullies who abused anyone who supported the last manager STILL double down with their bullshit.
