Which is sort of true, HE is doing the best job HE can do. The detail that escapes him is that he's shit, and a proper manager could be doing a lot better....

Don't give him this idea. He has been shite since the start of the season despite some wins even before all these injuries. People just giving him more time to implement his so-called style and identity. But after 3 months, then 6 months, there's still zero style and identity we can be excited about, except being a timid and coward side to start the game, or playing not to lose.

And he should also answer why there are so many injuries to the players. Is there an issue to his coaching methods or was it because the lads have to play harder in the 2nd half when we were trailing behind that caused it? Strange the previous manager has to keep answering this question almost every single presser.

I'd say it's a simlle case that he has between now and the end of the season to get the team playing full matches like we're 2-0 down.
We look fucking incredible then.
Brighton away.
Villa at home.
City at home.
Even 1 down vs Spam we looked good for the 2nd half, even if we didn't end up winning (or even drawing)

He needs that lightbulb moment. Daniel Farke had it and changed how Leeds played and their form turned around enormously.
If it doesn't happen, and we keep turning in turgid shite at 0-0 and even when 1 up, then he has to be let go.

I doubt he gets thr sack now unless we actually fall into the bottom 3.

Who was it that hired him truly do we know? Levy or the Woolwich supporter?

Can understand how Ange got the job. Success in Australia, success on Japan, success at international level, success in Scotland so surely that must translate to success in England. A very obvious playing style, Plus he had the gift of the gab. So that's unsurprising what happened there despite high risk

Frank tho is interesting, zero success in his entire career including back home. And it doesn't really seem That forceful and persuasive to charm someone into thinking he's a winner
Nuno at least had a lot of players winners medals, worked under Jose and won the championship as a manager. Grasping, but at least something to cling too

This guy tho, so random. Like hiring Alan curbishley and saying yeah this is the one

He needs to show some proper football, show he understands Spurs, show a style of play to get behind AND get results as well.

And he just hasnt shown anything in the 35 games so far to suggest he even understands the assignment, let alone has the ability to deliver

The problem with that proposition is that, generally, people with imposter syndrome are capable, competent, and intelligent. They are aware of their limitations and worry that those limitations will impact their effectiveness negatively. More often than not, they excel precisely because they work hard to counteract their feelings of inadequacy.

Frank, to me, reeks of Dunning Kruger effect. He has a cognitive bias that he is doing a great job because he is not smart enough to see how limited and inadequate he really is.

I think you are right in many respects.

Imposter syndrome is quite possibly correct.

I don't think it's the inability of knowing when to stop talking because I think that's a lot of people, but it's the unease of the manager which seems apparent, and saying he knows/thinks players dislike him is really symptomatic of someone who is struggling under the magnitude of the job, and if not struggling, then someone who is uncertain and uncomfortable in their surroundings.

It's unfair to keep the man beyond this season, although there is always the argument that if you survive the worst.... I hope that is not on the table.

He's never winning the CL

If he did, I would still sack him, unless he manages to completely turn around our style of play, consistency, performance levels etc (almost immediately from now).

Which is also basically impossible, if this season to date is anything to go by.

That said, if he wins the CL, it doesnt matter what I think. He's underperforming badly now and is bullet proof- if he won the CL the club will give him a job for life

You need to look at the period when Curbishley was peaking as a manager to understand that.

Wenger came in the mid 90's and from that point on the British managers were perceived as uncultured gravy merchants and, as you say, excluded from the Champions League standard of clubs.

Only Bobby Robson escaped the prejudice and that was more to do with him having managed abroad than anything else.

Harry Redknapp only found the recognition he deserved at Spurs.

The fact that none of the so called 'big six' went near managers like Curbishley and Redknapp does not really tell you anything.

It was the fashion of the day and British managers, with the exception of Roy Hodgson and Bobby Robson, were no longer given the opportunities by the bigger clubs.

He/we are not winning the CL.

I know for absolute certain more than 15 - 20% think we will. We won't.

Just go to your main position - change the manager as soon as we are safe, because we are probably well past any other alternative.

No they haven't. In recent weeks we have put in some of the worst first half performances I have ever seen in 20 years of following Tottenham. Our last PL win was on the 28th December.

We are creating a few more chances in matches but that's mainly because Solanke is fit again. Frankball remains terrible and we only play with intent when the players abandon his football and just throw bodies forward out of desperation.

It's absolutely clear as day that this teams morale is on the floor. In our last home game we played walking football for 45 minutes in silence, before being loudly booed off for the umpteenth time. If they had high morale they would not start games as if they already lost 5-0.

They thought they were hiring a guy who plays “modern football “. That Woolwich, Newcastle style.

They also thought he was a great fit for their super advanced predictive data models because he probably said xG in the interview.
