Maribor (H) 3-1

Having also beaten Reading 3-1 (A) earlier this season this game received the exact same rating of 7.02. Defoe was MOTM with his hat-trick, also getting the highest rating of any player throughout the whole season, previously held by him (away vs Reading) and Vertonghen (away vs Man Utd) with 8.21. Gareth Bale also beat the previous highest rating by getting 8.50 in this game. The lowest game rating for this match was 5.91 and the highest was 8.09, which highlights the difference in opinions amongst forum members.

New high or low ratings (previous value in brackets)

Lloris - 5.54 (6.19)
Naughton - 5.43 (6.29)

The above ratings show how Lloris and Naughton received equal blame for Maribor's goal. This was Naughton's first sub-5.5 of the season having played 5 games.

Defoe - 8.70 (8.21) - MOTM for the second time this season and also second over-7.5 performance. An incredible 4.09 increase in rating from his previous match vs Wigan.
Bale - 8.50 (8.07) - third over 7.5 performance of the season, incredibly has yet to be MOTM in any game.
Carroll - 7.83 (6.14) - first over 7.5 performance in only his third game of the season.
Adebayor - 7.37 (6.85)
Huddlestone - 6.91 (6.56)
Dawson - 6.85 (6.36)

Man City (A) 2-1

Third worst game rating of the season behind Norwich (H) and Wigan (H) with 5.69. Lowest game rating was 4.91 and highest was 6.50 (although a rating for Dempsey was not given for the highest leaving the next highest as 6.45).

With our regular big hitters misfiring our MOTM was Sandro who received the only over-7.5 rating of the game. Gallas got his third sub-5.5 rating of the season, Walker and Dempsey got their fifth with Dempsey getting the worst rating by anyone throughout the season by breaking the sub-4 barrier with a pathetic 3.63, he also held the previous worst rating of 4.00 which he only got in his previous match again Wigan at home.

New low ratings (previous value in brackets)

Vertonghen 5.22 (6.08) - first sub-5.5 (and sub-6) of the season
Bale 5.23 (5.44) - second sub-5.5 of the season - a horrible drop of 3.27 from the Maribor game.
Lennon 5.11 (5.17) - third sub-5.5 of the season
Dempsey 3.63 (4.00) - fifth sub-5.5 of the season and first sub-4 by anyone.

Woolwich (A) 5-2
Needless to say not the best game to remember. Poor performance in the number of ratings for TFC, shame on you however GG has given us a good sample, resulting in believe it or not, not our worst rated performance of the season. That accolade still belongs to the Wigan (H) game, just about, with 5.36. This game was a 5.37. Lowest rating received was 4.29 and highest was 6.36.

Only Sandro managed an over-7 rating in this one, getting his second MOTM performance in a row following the Man City (A) game. Is it safe to say he's our man for the big games? Our second best player behind Dembele vs Man Utd (A) as well.

Lennon's poor form continues, just about avoiding a sub-5.5 again with an exact 5.50. However Dempsey's unwanted record of lowest rating throughout the season (3.63) only lasted for one game with Adebayor's sending off giving him a 3.30 and a drop of 4.01 from his previous match against Man City (A). Dempsey himself got his highest rating in 4 games with his 4.92. Defoe drops a whopping 3.76 from his Maribor performance as well resulting in our strike force being somewhat impotent in this game.

New lowest ratings of the season (previous worst in brackets)

Naughton 4.41 (5.43) - worst rating for the second game in a row
Huddlestone 4.85 (5.08)
Adebayor 3.30 (5.14)

New sub-5.5s (and number of them this season in brackets/games played)

Walker (6/17)
Dempsey (6/11)
Defoe (5/15)
Gallas (4/12)
Huddlestone (3/10)
Adebayor (3/8)
Naughton (2/6)

Lazio (A) 0-0

Our worst Europa league performance with 5.86, worse than Panathinaikos (A) which was a 5.91. Lowest rating given was 5.18 and highest was 6.73.

Best performance so far by Lloris with a rating of 8.32 and MOTM by a long way. His 8.32 eclipses his previous high of 7.23 and is the 3rd highest rating of the season behind Bale's 8.50 and Defoe's 8.70 at home to Maribor. Another positive was our central midfield partnership of Sandro and Carroll who were well above average with 6.74 and 6.71 respectively.

At the other end of the spectrum Dempsey's 4.58 means he has the most sub-5.5 performances of the season than anyone else with 7 in 12 games. He has also now been the worst player on the pitch in an incredible 5 games with Defoe, Livemore and Walker a distant second with 2 games each.

Sigurdsson also gets another sub-5.5 with 5.21 as does Adebayor with 4.84 and the two substitutes (Defoe and Lennon) who had half an hour but didn't make any impact both getting 5.09 which makes that Lennon's lowest rating of the season since his 5.11 vs Man City (A).

Caulker also had his worst performace of the season with 5.82 (5.95) but remains one of only 4 regulars who have yet to get a sub-5.5 (Lloris, Sandro and Dembele the others).

The high standard deviation for Kyle Walker should also be noted as he seems to have split opinion in this match between forum members. With the way the season has been going and having played the most games out of any player, avoiding a sub-5.5 is always a good thing considering a third of his games have been sub-5.5s.

Lloris - 7.5

Walker - 7.5
Dawson - 7
Caulker - 6.5
Vertonghen - 7.5

Sandro - 7.5
Hudd - 6.5

Bale - 8
Dempsey - 8
Lennon - 7

Defoe - 7.5

Bale 8.5 - finding a great balance between wingplay and drifting
Defoe 8 - decent movement all game, what a goal
Sandro 8 - makes a three man midfield even when playing with only Hudd beside him
Dempsey 8 - finally, attacking with purpose and presence -- lovely assist and also great "hockey" assist

Lloris 7.5 - no real mistakes, and made a few crucial plays
Dawson 7.5 - has really worked on his passing, and was calm all game
Walker 7.5 - super solid
Vertonghen 7 - generally solid, but not really challenged

Caulker 6.5 - his runs with the ball were helpful for unsettling West Ham's defensive shape, and generally solid, but was at fault for the goal
Lennon 6.5 - not a big impact all game but great work for the third goal
Hudd 6 - did ok, still seems not to be contributing enough yet with his passing to make up for lack of mobility
