I don’t think he’s been that bad. Shame it looks like he picked up a groin injury. Hopefully it’s not too bad as he’ll be important against Villa’s high line. I’d play him instead of Johnson if son is fit.

Problem with Johnson is that he doesn't create enough chances. Werner even with his goal flaws is pretty decent at crossing and making spaces. Johnson is just a tunnel vision bulldozer. He just needs to learn how to play "better". He has all the physical gifts needed to do so.

He hasn't been that bad.

Yeah his finishing has lacked confidence but in every single game he's played he's been involved in some big chances.

His game isn't half as bad as what some people like to make out.

He doesn't.

Werner is effective at getting crosses in and scaring opposition because he is rapid. He can just knock the ball and run from a standing start and normally he will be past his man. Johnson doesn't have that acceleration.
