I must have imagined his cut back to Fati late in the 2nd half for their best chance.

Constrntly had Porro on the back foot as well.

Why do people constantly lie to themselves man it's crazy... 😆

Look Werner is okay but it's clear we need a 1v1 specialist because that's where the space is in this system, Werner is a player who excels in playing off the shoulder but he cannot size up a defender and take him on unlike Mitoma.

He created one chance, cool, Werner did more than that. Even that chance he created came after Porro clearly pulled something and should've come off.
Mitoma is the most overrated dribbler in the Premier League.

On the back foot without getting beat 1v1 all game despite playing the last 20mins on one leg.

Super dribble guy can't beat Porro 1v1 but managed to outpace Porro once when he couldn't run to create a half chance for Fati with 2 defenders in front of the shot to block it?

What a player.

Don't get me wrong Werner isn't a 170k pw player from what I've seen but to meltwank over Mitoma yesterday is just weird.

Again what did Werner do considering he was 1v1 against his full back for the vast majority of he match, I don't remember many instances where he came close to taking his full back on and the minimal amount of times he did that his crossing was sub par.

I know who I'm having as a player who would take us up another level in that position and it isn't Werner.

I'm not arguing to keep Werner yet.

Just saying that Mitoma yesterday didn't do anything to make me argue for him either. He was bang average imo and not the level we need to take a step up as a team.

Werner has created pretty much the same goal Son has in the past, he's a very dynamic winger.
 
Don't watch Brighton an awful lot but I saw absolutely nothing from Mitoma yesterday that'd make me want to buy him for an astronomical fee. Felt Porro dealt with him well enough tbh.

Only 1 year younger than Werner too.

My impression from yesterday was that Werner’s chances were limited from the god awful passing in midfield before it even got to him!

We were far, far too wasteful in the build up.

Not dynamic enough for me

Dribbling isn't good enough, not enough of a threat in the 1v1 positions which is what we really need.

I'd probably be content if we bought in a specialist 1st and depending on how he does this season bring him in as a game changer because he does have his uses but as a consistent starter he's not good enough and not enough of a potent threat for me.
