You could tell i had no money by the way i dressed and the money i did get i spent going home & away to Spurs. ALWAYS had a pair of Docs though! First pair of 8 hole Cherries in 1974. My new ones are only 7 years old...limited edition pebble leather 8 hole Cherries of which only 1460 pairs were made for the DM 50th anniversary in 2011. Seen the black ones on Ebay for £300+ never seen the red ones on there though.
I still got two pairs of old ones.10 hole cherry red bought in 85,and 8 hole cherry red bought in 1990. Have a pair of slip on dealer type ones as well, bought in January for the winter.The first two pairs get an airing on special occasions.

I think a mate of mine was one of the fellas in the masks.he was a well known name back then, so highly probable.Sure he told me that.I will ask himRay in the Donald Duck head was the fella that brought the wire cutters to get through the fences and on to the pitch at the end.
Things were a bit different in those days
I still see the fella in the Donald Duck head on occasion at matches. Tells some good stories about Spurs pre-season tour of Ireland back in the seventies.

Yeah, I wish I had bought one of those when I had the opportunity. Very nice they are.
That’s the one. I bought it off eBay about 20 years ago for £30.
Sound like the real thing. I think the reprints were done within the last 10 years or so.
