Stadium Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

For me as I've always maintained this was a massive waste of time. Debt borrowed against the club ultimately to increase profits for the owners. Time money and effort wasted that could of been put into on field success. Tottenham Hotspur and White Hart Lane has always been a football club. This stadium has done absolutely nothing for the football club that we was told it was going to do. The player wages in recent seasons alone are a damning indictment of the lies told and why we are where we are.
Exactly. They could have easily moved to Wembley for a season and redeveloped the current ground
When we left the capacity was as follows:
North Stand – (Paxton Road) 10,086
South Stand – (Park Lane) 8,633
East Stand – (Worcester Avenue) 10,691
West Stand – (High Road) 6,890
Total capacity 36,300
There was a lot of room behind the West Stand which you could of used to build a new stand with an increased capacity. If you look at St James' Park, the Milburn stand looks completely out of place. We could have done something similar lifting capacity beyond 45,000 comfortably. But football was not the main purpose of the new Tottenham Stadium. It was to enrich our owners and it has certainly done that. CUNTS!!!

The stadium is great. It's one of the few good things ENIC have done.

The issue is the team.

If we had the same team that went undefeated at WHL all season here, they'd be winning most of our home games in this stadium too.

We have the training ground.
We have the stadium.

We don't have the team and until we do, it won't be the fortress it should be.

I disagree with this post. The level of spendong in the last 5 years has been unprecedented. Thats all due to ncressed stadium revenue.

Unfortunately the club is run by incompotent clowns. Thats the real reason why we are where we are.

I think the new stadium is magnificent and is as good a multi sports arena that has ever been constructed with it's adaptability for use as a football ground.

That said I miss the old 😪 Lane and certainly don’t feel the same sense of ownership or exclusivity anymore and regard my relationship as a ST holder similar to a sub tenant .

I miss the lane enormously but it was obvious we had to rebuild. We had a small capacity by Premier League standards, and a tiny capacity by top European standards. Structurally and visually it looks great and its a fantastic modern football stadium, obviously the pricing is horrible and there are problems with concessions etc but those are seperate topics imo.

We've spent more but if you look at inflation (in football terms) I think it's much the same as what we've always done. We haven't gone out identified someone like Woolwich did with Rice and banged down £100m and gone 300k a week there you go son. And that was supposed to be the next step not £30m Tel, Muani loan stop gap plug. They're still acting like amateurs signing sub standard N'Koudou,N'Jie,Hojbjerg level players it's just they cost more now as you see with Tel,Solanke etc.

The new stadium is amazing, easily the best in Europe.
The problem is that ENIC forgot we are a football club and made us an entertainment business

So in the last year I’ve been the Allianz in Munich and to the Bernabeu in Madrid and I would say, yes our stadium is better than both in all areas bar one. The stadium bowl. Both those stadiums it is miles better. Fans have been put first ahead of corporate seats and money. We’ve done everything right except the most important bit.

The stadium is a red herring.

Bayern, Atletico, Madrid, Arse, Juventus, Porto, Sporting, Benfica, Bilbao, Sociedad, have all either moved ground or significantly remodelled their existing one.

Likewise the White Hart Lane that we left behind was barely recognisable from the pre 80’s version.

Don't care for the new stadium at all. Following the club has been a miserable slog since we've moved in, constant shit lineups rolled out for it.

All the bells and whistles and gimmicks mean nothing to me if the footballs been as shit as it's been. Seems like it was built mostly for Chelsea and Woolwich fans to have a fun day out since we assembled a team that they usually dispatch each season we've been in it anyway.

Maybe a season in the Championship will add a little character to it.

Too many are assuming it will just be “a season in the Championship”.

I don’t think it will be that easy to get out in a single season.

Did a tour of the new bernabeu whilst there for the athleti game and it pisses all over our gaff what with the retractable roof and surround screens though maybe I was dazzled by the trophy room 😆

What do you think the difference is between now and 2016 taking into account inflation then?

10 years. Transfer fees doubled? £60m is the new £30m? Tripled?

We were running on a very low net spend for ages. Partly due to bale and modric money.
But without doing a deep dive I feel we spend a lot more on players now than 10 years ago.

Spot on. We’ve got plenty of problems. The ground isn’t one of them
