It's getting closer to the final day and I'm literally shitting myself . David Moyes has said he will do everything in his power to win against us and hopes that Wham - his former team - stay in the PL . We have a strike force that can't strike . and a defence that's suspect , and a midfield that seem to be ok but get caught out too far up the pitch on occasions . I really hope we play our best football and win . If not a draw would suffice . Why has it come to this ? We need a massive clear out and a spend up that will see us as top 10 at least next season , hopefully top 4 - that's if we stay up . My heart can't take much more of this . We need a battle royal and to win convincingly..........Yid Army

Bit harsh on the defence that.

Thought we've been much more solid under RDZ.

Thinking about the goals we've conceded under him and none have been through teams slicing through us?

Sunderland: Deflected
Brighton: Worldie and Danso error
Wolves: Clean Sheet
Villa: Late consolation
Leeds: Pen given away by attacker
Chavs: Worldie and Kolo fuck up

What we can't account for tomorrow - and the main reason I'm nervous - are opposition players hitting their 1 in a 100 shots and brain farts by our players.

I.think tomorrow will be a relief. One way or the other.

David Moyes saying what he has, just seems typical of everything about this club. Of course Moyes can care about West Ham but it just seems we have no ex-players who want to do us favours. No ex-players who put on heightened performances against our opponents etc.

But for all that and despite the sh!t show of another season we go into the final day 2 pounts ahead of West Ham.

It's in our hands.

Ok .

I just thought that even with the new manager bounce we're conceding goals every game - what was at the forefront of my mind was "When was the last time we had a clean sheet" - but as you say Wolves was a clean sheet . I agree with your reasoning , it's a bit harsh to say we've a suspect defence at present .

Tbf to you too, the worldies could probably have been prevented with some closing down and better defending so they're not faultless.

Was just thinking with that Mitoma one for example - as much as we could criticise the defending, he will never catch it as sweetly and put it as perfectly in the goal as he did if he had 50 more tries.

On the whole though we are defending much better mainly cos we're playing on the front foot more.

A lot has been made of our lack of home wins, and it's true, but...

2-2 Man United - seconds from the win
2-2 Brighton - seconds from the win
1-1 Sunderland- better team and 1st of 2 games Brobbery got away with GBH
2-2 Man City. Had that game gone on longer we'd probably have won.
1-1 vs Leeds. Should have won with a penalty we were denied.

4, maybe 5 out of 6 draws there almost certainly should have been wins.

The only bad draw we've had at home was Wolves where we snatched a point at the very death.

The pressure on the ball in midfield has been a constant issue all season.
Go back and look how often we concede from long range shots.
That's not even accounting for the times when the teams have had free long range shots and not scored.

I mean, add in West Ham too.
Robbed of a nailed on, 100% penalty late on at 1-1, get cheated out of then, then they score a winner that would have been disallowed for us.

If you look at all our results for the season, most defeats have been decided by one goal.

The margins have been so fine this season which is why it has been so frustrating.

RDZ would have turned some losses into draws and draws into wins.

The Frank fuck-up has been disastrous for our football club.
