Fancy us in this one.

Bit of background I found for you stat nerds:

With the 0-5 away win at Southampton, Tottenham went back to winning ways following 3 winless matches. However Spurs have failed to win in their last 3 home matches in the Premier League. They have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last 7 home matches. However, each of the 7 Premier League matches they have won this season was with a minimum of a two-goal margin.

Visitors Liverpool have recorded their second consecutive draw, extending their unbeaten run to 11 league matches after their 2-2 home draw against Fulham. The Reds have scored 2 goals or more in 13 of their 15 league matches played this season.

So we win at home and put up a stoic defensive performance at their place to book our berth in the final?

Mate.

We need to go at them from the off.

I've said before that I've not been overly impressed by them this season. Watched a few matches that could have easily gone away from them. Fine margins and all that.

Fair play to the boys though - games coming thick and fast with no rotation.

Free hit for me, we have so many injuries. Winning tonight was far more important.

League campaign can take a back seat to the cups.

Having said that....

I wouldn't half like to ruin their scouse parade though. stick one right up Carraghers arsehole

It will be the same team again apart from maybe destiny.
Can't see were the energy levels will come from .
But our confidence will be high after 2 good wins. 2:2 draw

Hope Danny has the cheque book and fountain pen ready for Jan

Big game for league and cup reasons
Yep.

Lose and they go weak in the first leg of the cup, where we'll hammer them and make them have to go strong in the second leg, which they'll be sad about because they'll worry it'll affect their league performance.

That means we win overall and into a final.

We win and they'll have to take the league even more seriously around the cup ties, but they won't wanna go weak because they'll worry about us stuffing them again.

That means we win overall and into a final.

Either way, we're getting right in their little scouse heads and Sunday is a...

Hopefully :
- Destiny Udogie and Timo Werner back for this one, if only on the bench.
- Notts Forest we should get back a couple more, Rodrigo Bentancur and maybe Ben Davies, Mikey Moore.

Austin, Porro, Dorrington, Reguilon, Bergvall, Maddison, Olusesi, Werner, Lankshear

Hard one to tell given our squad issues, I think Johnson should come in just cause he's the only player capable of starting who hasn't, Spence has been excellent, deserves to start over Porro. Harsh on Maddison but we need to rotate where we can with our fixtures list, can't have anyone else go down. Hopefully Davies could be back too.

Sonny looked totally exhausted, needs a rest. Kulusevski and Johnson on the wings, hopefully Mikey Moore is ready for some game time.

Ange might even start Reguilon in this.

Fuck knows how Ange picks a team with any energy for this one.

By rights we should probably lose this all things considered. But you never know, Liverpool have been looking a bit ropey the last few weeks. Drawing games they could’ve lost etc.

Haven’t watched any Liverpool games this season.

But I’m not going to write off any team who concede less than a goal a game and have picked up 2.4 PPG after 15 games. Hardest game of the season to date that’s for sure.

Head says Liverpool win. Heart says probably a good time to invest in a defibrillator.

Prediction. Lots of goals. Let’s at least fuck up their goals conceded stat anyway.
