right he needs the team to finish in Europe, even if that's 7th and conference. he wants that stadium ticket and beer money coming in regularly.
having the stadium empty up to a fortnight next season will be the most unacceptable crime for him
In 2021 interest in the Conf. League was so low that level 5 was closed, cup autopay for ST holders was suspended and family packages were sold very cheaply (£50 for 2 adults + kids or £100 for the three game package). There were 30K sold for the playoff v Pacos de Ferreira and about 25K each for the MS Mura and Vitesse group games . Rennes at home was forfeited because of a Covid outbreak. Would the club have been happy with half capacity and lower alcohol sales? It would certainly have lowered the takings dramatically.

TBH I doubt interest would be much greater if we qualified again.

wouldnt be packed but at least 25+ thousand people would still turn up for those home games i bet, every little helps! :levylol:

I guarantee that if the Qataris make an offer the government will finally come over all moralistic and stop it happening. A great opportunity for the new Football Regulator to stick its oar in too.

A Russian crook: fine
Abu Dhabi: Fine
The Saudis: Fine
Qatar: Fi... Hold on, will this benefit Spurs? Refused!

I think this is a smoke screen - I doubt very highly anything will come from this.
