Mark Lawrenson's prediction theory for beginners...

x is a big club but y are bigger and richer, so I'm going for a 1-2 win for y
x
is a big club while y are standard mid-table rubbish, so I'm going for a 2-1 win for x (amend to 2-0 where y = relegation threatened dross)
x and y are both big/shit clubs so I'm going for a 1-1 draw

Where x = Liverpool, I'm going for a 2-0 win for x where y = mid-table rubbish and a 1-0 win where y = big club

How do the beeb pay this cunt still? As for the bearded cunt with him this week...

"We know the kind of form Harry Kane is in at the moment for Spurs but City are looking a lot more solid defensively, and they will have a fit Gabriel Jesus to lead their attack.

It is going to be close, but I would go with Pep Guardiola to get one over Jose Mourinho."

Lawro's prediction: 1-2

Adam's prediction: I've gone for City here because they have got so much class but this could go either way. Spurs have got a system that works. 1-2

HOW FUCKING INSIGHTFUL!

I think City will fancy their chances.

I think we will need an all round good performance and a stand out individual display to win.

It is a massive shame (whatever anyone else thinks) that in games like this we no longer have Eriksen and Alli in their pomp. They were honestly so destructive for a while and carried with them the arrogance we still Jack at times.

Hoping Bale starts to show his world class status but worry a little bit that Kane and Son may not be able to keep their early impetus going.

Huge test coming up. If we pass then we are really in the title race. We aren't yet regardless of position in my opinion.

Weird except he thinks they will get Messi and have 2 years

Will be interesting what De Bruyne does because he is their big fish and may see it as a slap in the face.

Spendiola is a pathetic tosser who has been shown up in my opinion. No CL victory to his name and now being kept because he will help attract Messi and because there are no stand out managers out there at present.

Really hope we turn them over on Saturday but we will need to be very good in every department.
FYI - Guardiola has won two CL's as a manager.

Excited!

Torres and Foden looked in super form midweek, and De Bruyne looked a lot fitter vs Denmark than against England. Jesus with his footwork isn't a great match vs our CB's but hoping for continued improvement there. (mostly contending with headed clearances and little real threat the last 3 games)

Bale looked really sharp against Finland, but with Sterling & Cancelo likely attacking down that wing I'd expect and kind of want Lucas/Lo Celso starting in his place. Expect it to be Lucas, would like it to be Lo Celso.

Reguilon will be massive for us in these games vs the better teams. The dynamism of his movement down the left is honestly matched by very few full backs in the world. Hoping for some magic from Ndombele, Son and Kane. City look a bit better defensively this season but we have every chance of a win here. COYS

This is the cunt who said we'd lose to Utd 'because of their attacking players'. How'd that go Lawrenson??
Forgive me if i don't go too much on what he says!

And you don't think I knew that? Okay I should have said since Barca.

Lesser managers have won the CL however with Barcelona . And who won the CL last year?

Your point and I don't mean in terms of existence?

Spendiola for all his ability has not done it at Bayern or City. 2 more years so he can get Messi in and try is quite pathetic.
Only 5 managers have won CL's with 2 clubs or more. Just because he hasn't done it elsewhere doesn't mean he's shit. I guess Alex Ferguson is a fraud too?

It's weird. The further we get from the great Barca side he created the more I see people make out he had little to do with it. As if they weren't mid table plodders before he transformed them.

There's nothing pathetic about trying to get Lionel Messi into your squad if you can. Actually, the opposite is true. You should be trying all you can to get the best player of all time in your squad.

It's an integral part of management to look to improve your side.

Giving Guardiola shit for spending when we have Jose Mourinho as our manager is a hoot.

I cannot recall saying he is sh!t.

He was however blessed with the best club footballer maybe of all time who had a cast alongside him that many managers would have been successful with.

And then Bayern have 1 or 2 teams to beat in the Bundesliga and then here and with all the riches he has been given, maybe 2 or 3 teams realistically.

So I stand that in failing to even get to a CL final that reasonable questions remain, which won't change too much for me, even if a less potent Messi arrives on the scene.

But sh!t Guardiola is not but neither is he at Ferguson, Wenger or Mourinho's level in my opinion.

Fuck me, no wonder Dele can't even get in the squad. Shocking.

Ndombele passing with his knees too. Guys so naughty.
