Match Tottenham Hotspur v Qarabağ FK | Thursday 26th Sept | Tottenham Hotspur Stadium | 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Hopefully we're allowed to just enjoy this one...

No stress, no dramas, coupla early goals, add some more for good measure...
Play some of the kids, all have a bit of fun, get a few more goals, go home!

These games are never easy. It will be close and/or we’ll make it much harder for ourselves than we need to.

Hopefully we go full strength then make subs if we can rather the other way round chasing the game.

Are these any better than the Singapore Sailors whom we beat comfortably?

Regularly compete in Europe - have now played 182 european games winning 69 games, drawing 46 and losing 67 games with a goal difference of 222-232 or GD of -10.

Under the old european competition formats, they usually getting through to Group stages of CL or EL but only occasionally getting through to knock out stages.

So on a totally different level to Singapore Sailors, need to treat them as serious opposition and field a decent team against them and if we do we should win.

If we don't take them seriously ....... egg on face !

Vicario,
Porro, Gray, Dragusin, Davies
Bentancur, Bergwall, Maddison
Kulusevski, Solanke, Werner

Substitutes (not used): Forster, Udogie, Van de Venn, Bissouma, Sarr, Moore. Son, Johnson, Lankshear

Injured - Odobert, Richarlison
Suspended - Romero

Its a tricky balancing act to ensure we rest players for ManU at weekend so a few pre-programmed subs

HT-
Porro off, Van de Venn on as LCB. Gray moves to RB. A bit of a rest for both Porro and Van de Venn
Bissouma for Maddison (gives a bit of a rest to both players) or Bergwall if we need more experience on pitch

60 mins -
Lankshear for Solanke (to rest Solanke for ManU) and
Johnson for Kukuevski (gives more width and pace to help Lankshear), gives both Johnson and Kulusevski a bit of a rest

75 mins
Our 5th and final allowed sub - Moore for Werner (more pace and subtlety versus experience)
Need to wait to ensure no injuries taking us to 10 men before 75 mins

...and yet they always appear to be for some...

I get there are "no easy games" ©Football Speak ®™
...but by the same token, we SHOULD have the ability and propensity not to make it DIFFICULT for ourselves either!

I honestly can’t remember him ever getting injured this much at Everton
Funny you say that...
I was under the impression he always scored for Everton too... which clearly, he didn't!

I dunno how many Everton games he missed (though I know Solanke hadn't missed a minute of football since he was 12'... until he came here!!)

Probably 'cos we didn't pay it that much attention at the time!

In my experience probably half of the 11 who played Sat are carrying bruises, strains and knocks. Rest those guys, it’s not position based.
Try and get those 5 fully fit for Sunday
