Match Tottenham Hotspur v West Bromwich Albion

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Okay I'll just stand out to be the contrarian and say for one I am not unhappy with the result.

We have an injury list of two key full backs, first choice winger, second choice winger, first choice DM, and second choice DM. Soldado missed goals marginally. Could have had one man advantage.

A draw is not too bad. We could have done better, but definitely could have done worse.

I'm ok.

Lamela should start, he made an impact
Chadli should start, he made an impact
Holtby should start, he made an impact
Dembele should start, he made an impact

That's our problem. We don't have many players who can consistently perform from the beginning.

It's so annoying that we're doing nothing to dis-prove the tired old assumption that when a 1-man Team's '1-man' leaves... you're fooked!
I suppose if we're taking the last two games into consideration (Southampton away & today), then 4 points wouldn't have been the worst outcome... but fuck me, more points dropped at home is getting quite silly now!

Before the match I actually believed we had a decent chance of getting 4th. But I have to stop kidding myself, we're just not god enough. Maybe next year.

I am sure Sherwood is doing his best and even though we look 'lively' player for player, we are still extremely poor, we still don't look like creating much and we are very static and reactionary.

This is definately not an issue of AVB-or-no-AVB.
This is an issue of the new man being no better than the man who has just gone.

The one thing I felt while watching this was a sense of the players all just running about randomly with almost no strategy. It seems the over planned AVB has been replaced by someone telling the players "just go out there and play" and really not telling them much more. That may work for some, like Adebayor, but younger players and players new to the league need some level of guidance and motivation. So many heads are down and low on confidence at the moment, and the mere fact of a new manager seems to have done little to inspire then.

Plus the defending, what is happening? The conceded goal was disgusting.

Sherwood's gonna have to grow up pretty fast and develop some tactics and defence if he's gonna turn this mess around and convince the football world that he can manage full time. This is a game we should've put to bed easily.

They showed a shot of Levy just before the final whistle. He didn't look convinced. Well, tough shit Daniel, this mess is your doing.

Still, great goal from Eriksen.

Completely incapable of the simple things today. Absolutely shameful performance with a vastly needed three points on the line. I'm sure nerves had a lot to do with it, but that's no excuse for the degree of poor decisions and touches made.

We were playing an out of form WBA. we have a few injuries but our depth is such that this shouldn't be a major issue.

It's games like this that just frustrate the fuck out of me, 1 win in 8 home games is fucking dreadful.

We have a lot of bit part players right now and no 'scruff of the neck' type players who will go as win is a fucking game of football.

Capoue should have started, Tims excuse of 'not knowing enough about him' doesn't sit at all right. He would have known enough about him at the club, Sherwood must have seen him play for us every time he has, and if this was the case, how are all the other summer signings playing?

2 massive points dropped and not the football we should be playing with Man Utd and them horrible red cunts from down the road up soon.

Fucksake

Shockingly poor. Only good moment was Eriksen's freekick - everything else was usual shite - only even more so - Adebayor didn't have a single shot did he - Soldado had about a million attempts off target. How can a team play so badly at home - quite a few seasons now. No goals from open play again. I bet if we played against 9 man stoke we wouldn't have scored 5 like Newcastle.

They should have been down to 10 men though - referee was a dick

All the teams around us won (except Everton) and score hatfuls of goals (except chelski who struggled to a 1-0 win over swansea)

Well I wanted 7 points over christmas week - so won't be happy if we don't beat Stoke and Utd.

Sherwood may not last until the summer.

Eriksen, Walker, Rose, Dawson, Lloris and Bentalab played well. Let down though by everyone else though and I guess Siggy wasn't too bad.

Rose and Walker have shite delivery and link up play, they get the ball and just start runnin like forrest gump

Dawson got done by Vydra multiple times

and our midfiewlders were all average at best

Lloris was good but everyone else was average to crap
