I think a real tactically astute manager makes the Perisic/Rich sub at HT, moves to 442 and really has 45 mins of going for it.

It is but at least we have tried to attack this half. We handed Woolwich the initiative from the kick off and you can’t do that and expect anything other than defeat against a confident team. Conte should go tonight

The Season tickets holders were promised exciting football with lots of goals. Levy is a man of his word. He has given exactly that to them.
Levy knows he'd have to fork out a fortune for Spurs to be scoring those goals. So he keeps his promise by not improving Spurs much, so that opponents play the exciting football and score the goals. That way ticket holders get what they are promised.
