Despite how horrific this season is... I'm actually buzzing for this game! European Quarter final. We haven't had many of those and fair chance we won't be in one again for a very long time!
Unpopular opinion but I'd leave Djed out of this one. Played last 2 games and hasn't been anywhere near his best. Would be nice to see our original back 4 start this game. Johnson has earned a start after his brace today. Son starts because he's our captain but I'd much prefer to see Odobert personally. Maddison and Bentancur could easily be replaced by Sarr. I think Sarr has to play the away leg over Maddison anyway. Bissouma looked decent today in his short cameo so could easily come in for Bentancur too who isn't on form atm.

The only reason I can think of as to why he went with such a strong XI against Southampton in such a meaningless match is that he essentially treated it as the ultimate training session before this. So, other than VdV replacing Davies, I expect the exact same XI that started today.

struggle to see us getting through over 2 legs. I think on paper we have a better side with better individuals, but I just can’t see us having the tenacity or fight to see this through over two legs. We're damaged. Players lack belief, manager going cuckoo and Levy is a twat. We should be able to spank them but I don't see it. They are going to have to be 50 shades of crap for us to do them over and push on.

Watched Frankfurt vs Bremen when they deservedly lost 2-O this weekend and also watched them when they got spanked by Leverkeusen.
They have a very good striker in Ekitike and a PL level 8 in Larsson. If we don’t score with our dominance they can hurt us but if we really turn on the intensity and press like we can, they will make costly mistakes.
