Match Tottenham Hotspur VS Eintracht Frankfurt. Thursday 10th April 2025. 8pm KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I would love to think that Spurs will win but, try as I might, I cannot see any logical basis why they will.

The Southampton win can only be classed as a mediocre performance against a very poor side.

Spurs lack the clinical efficiency of a good football side - on too many occasions their movement of the ball from the defensive third and through the middle third is far too slow and laboured - by the time the ball arrives anywhere near the opposition goal any reasonably competent opposition has had time to organise itself.

Romero's stopping and holding the ball as he looks for a pass is so irritating - it's not the style of a top defender. And it just slows us down.
They said the same about Leicester in 2015/16... And Wigan in the FA Cup in 2010? ... and THEY did it!!

Bang average teams CAN win trophies...

It still galls me that the likes of Jamie Vardy, Wes Morgan and Robert Huth have more fucking PL medals than Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen & Jan Vertonghen...

Go figure!?🙄

We're not a great side by any means... We just need to be a lucky side!

Then again, we're not a particularly lucky side either....

FFS! THIS CLUB!!!!🙄

Is it really too much to ask for the players to be up for tonight? A performance like first half against Southampton (I know, I know, but we looked like a football team at least) and I think we'll be ok.

Can see us looking more like second half against Southampton though. Just don't lose.

This was inevitable given how fans treated Brennan on social media and how the season has gone in general.

When teams underperform as massively as we do and have a crisis, there's almost always a cold war conflict between players and fans.

Yes, Brennan should have mentioned the fans and winning for us. But looking at it with sober eyes I totally get if the players are jaded by the season and how the fanbase has reacted to it.

Also it isn't shocking if Ange has capitalized on it to create a us against the world feeling in the dressing room. Especially given his own war with the fans.

If the game is even half as good as your post, it will be a first-class, exciting, and memorable game!

One of the best forum posts I've ever read!

Thank you very much
and here's to a great game!
Unless he's Jim Duggan (which, for all I know, he might be), you know that's a copy & paste, don't you?

If I’m understanding what I’ve read and watched about Frankfurt’s tactics, it’s a horrible matchup for us. They are the classic “stay wide, cede possession, hit fast and hard on the counter” style. They struggle more against low-block, compact sides, and find more success against… open sides that want to patiently build and possess.

:davieshmm:
