That's right the front players in Son, Solanke, Johnson, Kulu, Odobert, Werner, Richy and Tel are not good enough, very average. We have numbers with no quality, one pound shop standard.

Son, Tel, Richy and Werner must leave the club this summer if we are ambitious enough.

We’ve been lucky this season On a number of occasions, but this time it completely deserted us. Lucas again looked lively in midfield, and what a shot. And then 2 headers hitting the bar.

IMO Ange didn’t make the most of the opportunity. EF looked on the ropes at times, and come 65 mins surely was the time to make the subs. Far too late on 79 with 3 coming on together. And strange not to being on Odobert who can run at defenders with pace and scored 2 goals v AZ.

It’ll be a really tough away leg now, we could so easily have won this 3-1 and given ourselves a great chance.
 
First legs can be very awkward, quite cagey. Key thing is we didn’t lose the tie. We showed some promise, some pragmatism and there is hope for the second leg. I’m hopeful big Dom will get there in a few games. Lots to play for still.

I disagree. This squad has more potential than quality now. Our senior players are a disgrace imo. Weak leaders, fair weather players like son, maddison, Romero, bentancur, bissouma, there's nobody you can say that is great, or on the cusp of world class. Son was but he's finished at this level. He's being played out of what he was, not what he is. We're relying on players like bergvall, Gray, udogie, sarr to make the step up, by which time they'll be off to whoever pays the most money.

It's a Europa level squad at best right now, who needs a manager who can give them the belief and get the best out of them. Make them more than the sum of their parts. We don't have that here and I have no faith the next appointment will be the right one either.

In fairness, whilst I agree with you, loads of managers do that - bringing on a benched attacker for about 180 seconds. I’ve never understood it. 10 mins yes. 10 secs no.

Solanke and Odobert defo stay IMO. We're not providing anywhere near enough through balls and giving enough chances to Solanke. Odobert has speed, agility, a good shot on goal and a good cross on him - defo keep.
