As I said above numerous times..... It worked well against Liverpool twice last season and we didn't have a CAM then either.

Also; I really don't fancy being outnumbered by their MF.

They're gonna dominate the midfield regardless, we surrender control of the game under Conte, it will happen 100%, inevitable & undeniable.

I'd rather have the 3 up front to at least provide numbers when we break. Last season they were a different force, atm they're very susceptible whenever their defensive line is exposed.

Like you suggested, I don't think we have the pace/legs for that though (i.e. To follow the Leeds blueprint from last week) and until the fuck-ups at the back our MF3 was working v Newcastle......

TBH, given what we have in our ranks; tactically I'm not sure what suits us best here.... This isn't the high energy Liverpool from 2/3 years ago, but we underestimate them at our peril.

I don't think we should underestimate them but do think that defence is very vulnerable. It's just a shame we're missing our biggest counter attacking threat & Kulusesvski isn't going to be fully ready at all.

We've not got the teeth that we usually do.

We cant' be losing this match, they are pathetic away from Anfield.

OK Amsterdam was a freak, but all 3 goals were quality finishes. All scored from central areas. Since then he's mostly played out wide, and rarely gets into positions to score. Few chances, few goals, but still a decent finisher the rare time he gets a chance.

Looking at the stats, he's a slightly above average finisher (scores slightly more than his xG). Nowhere near Kane/Son level, but much better than, say, Gabriel Jesus (scores way less than his xG).

I think if he plays up top with Kane, running onto his flick ons and through balls, he can be a threat, certainly more than he is out wide.
He’s a decent finisher but he just can’t get into shooting positions and create or be on the end of goal scoring opportunities.

So he’s a decent finisher but not a great goalscorer.

If Kulu is back...that gives me hope.

It's the hope that kills ya.

COYS!

Don't do it to yourself but good he provides an option but people need to check their expectation somewhat in my opinion.

I am not sure it ever happens when we play Liverpool but it must be a really strange unsettling feeling, not to be fearful of an opponent or losing.

For the likes of City, Liverpool for a couple of years and to an extent under Pochettino, I didn't see us losing, if not always believing we were going to win.

Sunday I am fearful, more because we can't keep on going a goal down and having to fight back. It's unsustainable.
