Neither look as hungry as Luis Suarez though. If Sess can just do that and forget about anything else he’s worth a shot
Agree about Skippy
He looks hungry like Gil
That’s what we need

Assume this is a wind up...but anyway he's no Tanguy. Puts his body on the line every time he plays. He's injured because he helped the team vs Utd when he wasn't really ready.

I was there, it was a bad moment. But you really think he didn't put a challenge in because he didn't want to put his body on the line?Unless someone is cutting inside and having a shot. Then he sort of just stands about a foot away from them and watches them do it.
Mitrovic is a big fan.

He got done by Mitovic's turn, having charged in, overcommitted then couldn't readjust. Not great defending but not a lack of heart.
There have been moments like that. I've given him the benefit of the doubt and wondered if he's not been 100% fit. Players can hold a bit back after a big injury, not quite trusting their body, regardless of the World Cup factor. Maybe there's a bit of that too. But it's another thing to say he's consciously doing it, as some are suggesting.I don't think he's looked nearly as ready to put his body on the line this season, tbh. There was another 5 minutes after the Mitrovic goal where he just sort of watched. And he's had a good handful of these moments this season where he doesn't seem willing to throw himself in the way.
Don't think it's deliberate, possibly subconciously has one eye on the world cup and has for a while. But he's just not looked the all action CB he was the season before.
Love the guy mate.....is our most polished cb.......but.......i think he's been going easy because of this world cup thing that I've heard about......Assume this is a wind up...but anyway he's no Tanguy. He's a bit of a shipper like the ones who follow Son. Can't conceive of a world where their idol is not always perfect. He's a talented CB not world class and he has done some less than stellar things since he's been here the most igregious being that whole Brazil Covid debacle. I like the boy but he ain't no Saint.Love the guy mate.....is our most polished cb.......but.......i think he's been going easy because of this world cup thing that I've heard about......![]()
Didn’t sess play R AM for Fulham might be better for him as he would have bit more freedom. Wouldn’t need to defend much but can be used to press. There is no sane universe where it's Peri (LWB) & Sess (LFwd).

I thought it was William Hill...This is normally my way of thinking too. If ever we're heavy favourites against a big side, I tend to put a tenner on the opposition, but it so rarely happens as we hardly ever beat any of them so the odds never make us favourites. That's why I was surprised to seeSpaniel say the bookies had us as narrow favourites - god knows what bookies he was looking at. :/
I'm clearly losing it....Where are you seeing that? I've been looking all week and all the big boys have Liverpool as massive favourites... Very roughly speaking, them to win is not far off evens, with us being 2/1 or even more, so they are huge favourites... :/
No point some moaning about our players missing.352 worked well both times last season.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but they only have Salah & Nunez fit up front anyway.......
GomezI don't think we should underestimate them but do think that defence is very vulnerable. It's just a shame we're missing our biggest counter attacking threat & Kulusesvski isn't going to be fully ready at all.
We've not got the teeth that we usually do.

What do we actually do without the ball just run back to our 18 yard line. In fact gil actually gets stuck in and makes tackles more than some of the others.Does Gil have the discipline to start in a 343 given what Conte wants them to do without the ball?
It’s the Leeds game I’m pretty sure
He has indeed last game v bmouth was a rediculous yellowNot sure what is so funny about this but Kane in previous years has not picked up many yellow cards but this year he has picked up several what I would call unnecessary yellow cards. I am not suggesting he will deliberately pick one up Sunday but I will be watching this.
