If Ange always wins something in his 2nd season then we're guaranteed to win this so might as well rotate![]()
Does anyone else think it's not very likely that this current bunch of semi-lame ducks is going to somehow turn into an efficient, unstoppable winning machine by Thursday evening?
White Hart Lame, I reckon.
How is that different?I'd go for something like this:
...............Vicario.............
Spence - Danso - vdV - Udogie
Sarr-Maddison-Bergvall
Johnson-Solanke-Son
Oderbert/Tel/Scarlett as attacking subs. Is Micky Moore injured?
Thought Romero was pretty poor today and will need to stay fresh for Argentina
Pretty confident about this one. Into the QF we march. Full strength team, plenty to play for and just hitting form at the right time of the season. A fairly bullish 4-0 win.
Yep - Son and Johnson too similar, neither can take the ball under pressure and turn forward and both are fairly rigid and one dimensional. When a team are camped in and pressing, they are the worst possible choice.I'd start Tel at LW but Ange will start Son, fine. But for the love of God don't start Johnson over Odobert.
I know Biss will start with Bentancur out but I'd give Gray a go.

Lolo is suspendedSon, Bergvall and Maddison didn't start - rested to start against AZ. Same could be said with Bentancur but Sarr scoring may mean he gets the nod.
Danso has done nothing wrong, and I'm expecting Romero and Van de Ven to both play part of the match so as to ease them back : maybe Romero starting subbed by Van de Ven.
Expect multiple changes at HT and/or 60 minutes
Vicario
Spence, Romero, Danso, Udogie
Bergvall, Bentancur/Sarr , Maddison
Johnson, Solanke, Son
Subs (12 allowed) : Austen, Porro, Van de Ven, Gray, Bentancur/Sarr, Bissouma, Tel, Odobert, Moore, Scarlett plus 2 ( Whiteman, Ajayi ?)
At this point the players should fuck the “plan” and coach themselves to get over the line. At least one of these fuckers should be stepping up and trying to drive. If they had any pride.People on this board should be able to coach the side to a win with three days, and no actual coaching.
Spurs play in the toughest league in the world in a 60k stadium. They most certainly are not playing Barcalona 2011.
The players must have some pride. It's unthinkable going out to Az. indivual Spurs player transfers would be more than the entire Az team.
I don't care what system Spurs play. Personally I'd be happy with suicide ball times 2. It should not matter. Don't concede early. Put pressure on from the start with intensity, and the floodgates will open.
Biggest game of the year at this point. It really isn't that difficult all involved to want to make it a good performance.

Sarr hitting his cross into the 6 yard box so badly that it flew in the top corner, first name on the team sheet...Son, Bergvall and Maddison didn't start - rested to start against AZ. Same could be said with Bentancur but Sarr scoring may mean he gets the nod.

think the players are just playing for themselves (doing their own thing or just not pushing themselves)From what we’ve seen on the pitch, seems like that’s what’s happening already. Whatever plan there is isn’t clicking, and we’re just hoping for moments of individual brilliance to get us across the line.
Hopefully Thursday’s different and everything finally falls into place, but it’s just a whole lot of hoping at this point.
