I’m guessing the ‘underlying numbers are key’ crowd will now be all in on the result being the key thing..

Do it against Liverpool and we won’t be having a fun time.

Those stats are slightly distorted because they scored two goals from about a yard out thanks to Forster. The xG on both of those must have been close to 1.0 each.

But for sure, the way we are playing will never lead to consistency in results. You have to be able to manage games and react to what’s happening on the pitch. Ange still refuses to accept that we need to do that. You shouldn’t need to score a 4th goal to win when you are 3-0 up.

I remember games like this through the 80' and 90's. We'd come out of WHL absolutely buzzing after an absolute thriller.

Nowadays, that buzz seems to have been replaced by anger.

I often wonder why some fans continue following Spurs if their constant mental state is one of anger and loathing.

No doubt this post is going to stir some of that anger just a little bit more.

Yeah that’s why it’s better being at games and not watching it on tv posting on a forum during it. You don’t have the same emotions. It’s why I could never support a football team I don’t actually go and physically watch. Not sure what I’ll do when I give up my season ticket at the end of the window. Probably miss it terribly.

This is the toughest cup to win now- as lowly as it ranks in most people’s eyes. We have to beat Liverpool and probably the gooners to win it, having knocked out United and city.
Mickey Mouse cup it may be regarded as, but looking at the route the the final it’s as tough as it gets.

Bro picked out 1 match out of 500 lol

In 19/20 they averaged 62% possession and conceded 33 goals across an entire season.

You don’t get 99 points without controlling matches lmao. It’s actually hilarious to me that you think you could go an entire season having ping pong matches most weeks and end up with that tally.

It’s well known Klopp adjusted gegenpressing for his best years at Liverpool. Madness you don’t even know this. They controlled most matches.
